BC: Helen Keller was a very nice, kind and warm-hearted woman.

FC: Helen Keller

1: Helen Keller was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Also, she had five brothers and sisters, one mom, one dad and one step dad.

2: Helen Keller was famous because she was blind and deaf. She could also read and write. That is why Helen Keller is famous.

3: Helen didn't really have a job, but she still went to college. Helen received "The Medal of Freedom" and her life was made into a movie.

4: She could read lips with her hands. It was very hard to understand Helen's voice when she spoke.

5: Helen had a couple of accomplishments, such as being able to talk, graduated from Radcliffe in 1903, wrote articles that were later published in books. The main book that included many of her articles was called "The Story of my Life".

6: Then Helen Keller died at the age of 87. She suffered many strokes, but died in her sleep at West Port, CT.
