2: Maple Leaf The Maple Leaf is the most prominent symbol that is recognized as Canadian all around the world. To many historians it served as a Canadian symbol in the early 1700’s. I chose this symbol because it really stood out to me. Many Canadians may agree with me, not only because it is on the flag of Canada but also because it represents us as a country. It symbolizes our country in a very unique way by being represented on various buisness's and hockey teams. It makes it even more unique since the leaves change colour, from season to season while at the same time our culture is also changing by being more diverse and multicultural.
5: Tim Horton’s Tim Horton’s was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. At first Tim Horton’s stores only offered coffee and donuts, but as time went by they started offering more different varieties of snack’s. This symbol is very significant to me, and to us also as fellow Canadians because it gives our country our identity, of what has been started here (in Canada), and what has been growing bigger ever since.
6: f | dfdg | RCMP The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been serving our country with peace and protection for a very long time. The RCMP was created as the North West Mounted Police in May 23, 1873 by Sir John A. Macdonald. He had the intention of bringing law and order to our country. This symbol is very significant to me because it is very important that we have a good protection system. Other Canadians are probably on the same page as me, since it keeps us out of danger, and gives us a good feeling that we are safe. Other people living outside of Canada may recognize Canada as; a country that has as a good protection from their local RCMP.
9: Canadian Wildlife The wildlife of Canada is such a beautiful imagery to see. All the animals, ranging from the insects to the big bears and moose, are so amazing. The animals of Canada give us the base of our identity. They surround the landscapes of our country..... but what we do with the animals is up to us (hunt, kill, eat). They also provide us with the nutrients that we need in order to survive (by eating them). I choose this symbol because it really inspires me, even to this day. Most Canadians would probably agree with what I said, since lots of Canadians (including myself) enjoy being outdoors and seeing wildlife. All nature of wildlife is such a wonderful image in our eyes. They are amazing creatures and so beautiful.
