BC: The End

FC: Personal Project by Megan McKillip | Emotional Intelligence

1: For this project, I googled "emotions people" and included the first _____ images that qualified. I will discuss each of the individuals and explain what emotion I think they are experiencing based on the non-verbals they exhibit.

2: This woman's tense brow and hand at her temple indicate distress. Her sideways stare makes her seem like she's contemplating something.

4: The man above seems frustrated and disheartened.. Even the fact that he is sitting down makes him seem weary. His hands covering his forehead suggest that he has received bad news or has been confronted with a difficult situation. | The girl to the right looks confident. With her hands on her waist and her nonchalant lip pursing, she conveys an attitude that suggests she is not to be messed with.

7: The first woman on the opposite page looks confident and helpful. She is well dressed, well groomed, and conveys a sincerely upbeat disposition. | The individual in the middle picture looks lonely. She is sitting in the corner with her legs and arms folded up looking expressionless straight ahead. | The woman on the bottom is elated. Her graceful pose (arms outstretched and hands unclenched) and upward expression signal enthusiasm.

8: The woman in the above picture, in my opinion, looks hopeful. She seems deep in thought, but the slight upturn of the ends of her lips signals that she is happy about something.

9: This woman is clearly distressed. She is crying and cradling her head in her hands. She looks like she just received traumatic information and does not know how to react.

10: Emotional intelligence is very important for an individual's success in any corporation. The ability to read and understand emotional cues is an important life skill that no one can truly master. One should endeavor to build their emotional intelligence through constant interaction.
