Jack, Don't you realize the evil you've brought to this island? We're losing all hope for ever remembering who we are, and your rallying and promotion of savagery doesn't help. Hunting is important, but remaining civilized is essential. | You must realize what's going to happen if we don't get off the island. There will be fun and games for a while, sure, but eventually things will start getting bad. What happens when we've been here for a year? Or five? We're just kids...we can't last that long.
When everything starts falling apart, I'm going to hold you accountable. If I survive that long. All I can do at this point is keep the fire going and pray for rescue. Remember what that is? I didn't think so. Overall, you're a terrible leader. I was the leader they elected, and I'm going to fight your attempts to lead everyone else into savagery if it's the end of me. Sincerely, | Ralph
We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything. Piggy | Kevin "Piggy" Newman, 11 Kevin Newman, or "Piggy", was born to a loving home in 1949. Sadly, his parents passed away when he was only a young boy, leaving Piggy in the care of his Aunt. Kevin was an astoundingly bright boy, as anyone who knew him can testify. Unfortunately, he was plagued with health issues all his life, including poor vision and asthma. Kevin's intelligence saved lives when his fellow students and he found themselves stuck on a desert island. Sadly, this could not last. "Piggy" will be fondly remembered by his only friend, Ralph.
This Sunday, an aeroplane carrying upwards of 50 British boys was shot down in a surprise attack somewhere over the Pacific. The exact whereabouts of the plane's landing site is unknown, due to navigation errors. The plane was carrying the youth to a safer location, as | Plane Carrying Students is Shot Down!
part of a plan to move British children out of the fallout zones resulting from the recent atomic bombings. The plane was on-route to the Colonies, where safe houses have been established. | A search for the youth is underway, but no clues have been found as of yet.
Simon Stevens Simon Stevens was born in 1948. He was raised by his mother, Mary Stevens, and his step-father Joseph. Simon was a beloved student at St. John's Academy, where he took an interest early on in the lessons of scripture, particularly the New Testament. He was a quiet student, but was also quite intelligent and logical. Simon was plagued by seizures often, and would speak of strange visions while he was gone. However, neither he nor his parents were worried about these fits. Simon will be remembered by his loving parents, his two brothers, and his friends Ralph and Piggy.
Ralph, Everything that has been happening on this island has been terribly out of control. No one is being at all intelligent about what they're doing, and we're all going to suffer from that! Don't they see what has to happen? You're the only one that has any hope of keeping people civilized. If that madman Jack is left in charge, everyone will forget what has to be done. Without you here...I'm afraid he'll hurt me. He hates me. They listen to you, because everyone knows you're the best person to lead. After all, you have the conch shell. You're the one who organized us all! Listen, I understand that you keep forgetting about rescue. I'm sure it's hard for most of you to resist the island's temptations, but as long as you can stay focused, we have a bit of hope. After all, we're British, and the British are best at everything! Ralph, you're our only hope. | Piggy
