24: A Night at the Aragon | The Celebration of Mary Margaret’s 90th Birthday at the Aragon Ballroom. Steph transformed her house into famous Aragon Ballroom where Mary Margaret danced as a young woman. Details included a coat check girl and bouncers in Fedoras and even a booth for WGN to record their radio show.

27: Located on West Lawrence Avenue, the Aragon was built in 1926. It was designed to resemble a Spanish village and named for a province of Spain. The hall was an immediate success, and remained a popular Chicago attraction through the 1940s, when it was frequented by celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, the Harmonicats, and Mary Corr. Crowds often exceeded 18,000 guests over the six open nights each week. Radio station WGN broadcast an hour-long program from the hall each night to radio audiences throughout the Midwestern United States and Canada.
