13: "To make staying on track easier, it's important to make a real connection with your motivation, says Tara Gidus, R.D., co-host of Emotional Mojo. So think less about fitting into your skinny jeans or spring break bikini and more about emotional ties to the people you love. “Your relationships will grow stronger when you are physically healthy and taking care of yourself,” she says" www.shape.com | "And for those who have gluten sensitivity, says Tara Gidus, team dietician for the Orlando Magic basketball team, reducing or removing gluten in their diet can give them a new lease on life. They have more energy, less stomach upset, and an easier time maintaining a healthy weight." www.newsmaxhealth.com | “It’s important to take care of yourself so you can take care of your new bundle. Rest, rest, and rest. Carrying the baby and giving birth takes a lot of energy. If you choose to breastfeed, it takes even more energy (calories) to help your body produce milk. Feeding yourself the right balance of nutrients and staying hydrated are key ways to help you feel your best"- Tara Gidus www.parent.com | " | "

They have a very high rate of return from the people who turn to them for help. Stephanie states it has been an amazing experience to serve those in need and who are hungry. From the very beginning very high standards are set for provided nutrition. Every month a variety of produce in addition to lean means, dairy, eggs, and beans are given out. Stephanie is very proud and supportive of her Church's food pantry and OAND applauds her. Pictured here are a few volunteers. Students from each nutrition class were given the opportunity for extra credit to participate in the event by either designing a booth or manning the booth during the event. A budget was provided by the College for nutrition-themed give-aways and samples of healthy foods including oats, berries, yogurt, and soy beans. Booth themes included healthy bones, fitness, brain food, alcohol facts, weight control, supplements, and more. Handouts included My Plate materials and a Valencia College logoed measuring tape.
