This is one of my best pictures. This is just a picture of a simple flower with light pink petals and a light green steam . The dark green in the background really sets off the light pink in the flower. You first notice the flower and how it pops against the background. This photo just really screams simplicity. I would give this picture a 9 out of 10 because of the clarity and colors.

Nature is often hidden; sometimes overcome; seldom extinguished. -Sir Francis Bacon

This is another one of my best photos. It is a flower that I found in a garden and really tried to fill up the shot with it. The pink/purple color is very rich and vibrant. The photo is also very clear because I was on macro mode. The photo feels very energetic because of the bright colors. This photo is a 9 out of ten because of its bright colors.

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus

This is one of my featured photos because of its clarity and its depth in black and white. It is just a branch that broke off, so I took a picture of its stump. I chose to do black and white because the black in the wood has a very depth-like look to it. I really agree with my choice of turning this into black and white instead of keeping it in color. This picture is a 9 out of ten because of the color choice and crystallized clarity.

This a a featured photo because of the colors and the way they pop against each other. The blue of the sky and the orange color of the leaves really pop against each other. The main branch of the tree is the focus point but the other branches of leaves in the background really pull it all together. The colors of this photo really create this photo. I would give this photo an 8 out of 10. The colors just work.

"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself." -Billings

This is one of my featured photos because of the subjects of the photo. The bug with the sunlight light hitting off its back makes it look shiny and the dew drops add texture. It looks better in black and white because of the white flowers and the sunlight shining in, on the dark bug. The black and white really draws your eyes to the bug, therefore the choice of making it black and white is agreeable. I would give this a 10 out of 10. Tis is my favorite photo.

Nature can be so very simplistic.

Briyana She was my photography partner and very often helped me with with my photos.

Trained eyes can see the uniqueness.

“Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity.” --Plato

Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first. ~Ernestine Ulmer

If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ~Vincent Van Gogh

Artist Statement | My ideas developed, to take these photos, because I enjoy taking photos of nature. The majority of my photos are of nature and things regarding nature, like flowers, trees etc. My theme of this project is to showplace my artwork in the way that showplaces myself as an artist. As I said before most of my artwork is of nature therefore I am showing that, as an artist, I get my inspiration from nature. I chose to work with photography because I like to capture the moment. I know this sounds cliché but being able to capture somethings beauty, to me, is just amazing. Process of my Photography used a Nikon D 5000 camera to capture my subjects. I really work with all aspects of the camera, like I worked with manual settings and shutter settings. I would then upload my photos to a Mac computer through the software of Bridge. I would then edit the photos in Adobe Photoshop or Camera Raw. I edited only the photos that I had too because I personally did not like to edit.
