1: Long ago in the seventh century the Puritans came to America expecting to find a free land, wildlife, and plant life. They sailed from Great Britain to start a new colony.

2: Instead they came across a group of people. The Natives were referred to as Indians. The Puritans and the natives did not get along an there relationship got worst an worst.

3: The Puritans had their religion that they tried an force upon the Natives. The Natives did not like it because they had their own culture an believes. The relationship worsened an neither side was trying for peace.

4: The Puritans soon started encouraging the Natives to join their religion. Some accepted an changed believes to the Puritan's religion. The Puritans traded and learned farming from the natives. But the puritans still viewed the natives as untamed savages and that their religion was superior.
