1: Madrid We flew into Madrid to begin our trip. We had a few days of orientation and some guided tours. This is our hotel that we stayed in while we were there. | Right around the corner from our hotel was the Atocha train station. This is the same station where the terrorist attack occurred a few years ago.
2: We visited the cathedral in Madrid (left) and the palacio real (right).
5: the streets of Madrid, the market and the great views.. Madrid was very big, and there was so much to see.
6: We visited the Prado Museum and the Plaza Mayor where there were fun street entertainers.
7: El Escorial We went to the town of El Escorial and visited the Monastery where most of the Spanish Kings and Queens are buried.
8: We had a guided tour of the monastery in Spanish. | The monastery is still running and also houses a school.
9: We then went to El Valle de los caidos | Franco is buried here.
11: Toledo There were some amazing views on the way to (left) and out my hotel window (right)
13: Ronda | A little town in the hills
15: Arabic Baths in Ronda | Some kids we saw walking to the baths

19: Valencia | We stayed in a hostel in the center of town

22: The market in Valencia is the largest indoor market in all of Spain and Portugal. There were hundreds of stands of fresh food.
24: no one is sure who is in the statue above... | we walked for 10 hours in one day. ..

27: the largest aquarium in Europe. | The ciudad de artes y ciencias (left)
30: We walked to the pier for sunset and dinner. Great memories of this night.
31: On the train ride home, our train broke down and we were stuck in this little town for 3.5 hours. It was a long day...
34: the alhambra the most visited place in Spain.
37: Capilla Real, and the cathedral in Granada.

41: the tomb of Christopher Columbus | and his son.
43: The Castle in Sevilla
44: Plaza Espana, where part of Star Wars Episode 2 was filmed
47: The Beautiful Nerja
51: Malaga was my home for 4 weeks. This was my family Puri, Alicia, and Beatriz. Also, the dog Pipo.
52: the cathedral in Malaga, nicknamed the one aremed lady because it only has 1 tower.
55: The Alcazaba , a 5 minute walk from my house in Malaga.
58: The noche de San Juan. A fiesta where everyone is on the beach and it is good luck to go in the water at Midnight!
59: Great Memories and Great people that I will never forget.
