They say home is where the heart is...my heart will always be on the Island. | She was always surrounded with people, but always felt alone. She knew in her head they loved her, but her heart was unsure.
There has always been someone there to talk to when you needed her. There has always been a shoulder to cry on. There will always be a sister there no matter what happens.
I will always remember Carla being dressed in yellow. She had the bright personality to match it too. When I think of Carla I also think of red shoes. When we were younger we had little money and Carla wanted a pair of red shoes. Someone gave her a pair of white shoes and she was not happy with that. We ended up painting them red with nail polish. Carla said it was not the same though.
As Carla was yellow Sandra was blue. Even though mother did not like telling stories of Sandra I will always remember her missing the Island. | At one point she missed the chauffeurs and maids that she wished she was on the Island. When we lived in New York she wanted the Fannings to adopt her. | Sandra also really liked the boys. She would flirt with them whenever she had the chance. I think she did that just because dad said not to.
Sofia was the youngest. She was dressed in white. Sofia was jealous that the rest of us could wear colors. However she was special in her own way as well. | Sofia is actually lucky. When she was born our family was robbed. However the robbers were soon caught and all of our things were returned. However, Sofia did have her hard times. Dad and Sofia fought over love letters and the two would not speak to each other for the longest time. But I guess she is lucky because soon they were able to come together again like father and daughter should.
Then there was me in the color pink. My heart was always with writting poetry.
When I was younger I always had boys around. It was not until college when things began to slow down and I began to look at things differently. It was actually a boy who helped slow things down for me. His name was Rudy. It was comforting for some reason for him to have an odd name and not be the most attractive boy. Whatever it was, we had a connection. Soon he wanted more and emotional I was not able to give that to him. Even though I missed him, it was for the better.
In my mind, John was the pond and I was the sky | I remember when my husband, John, and I would just relax by the river playing word games.
I will never forget the first time I saw snow. I was sitting in class and I look outside to see spots in the air. I thought a bomb was about to explode I yelled out in the middle of class "bomb". | My teacher just laughed and explained to me that it was just snow.
I was always very close to my cousin Mundin, who was a boy. The aunts were against our friendship because they thought I would end up a tomboy. However, that was never true, we were just really close. When I traveled, I liked to stay in touch with him. I liked to hear how his family was doing and what new things he was up to. I would try to send a postcard from each new city I visited and he would enjoy seeing the places I went. When I came home, I found out that he kept almost all of my postcards that I sent him.
