S: JMW: One Year of Being Awesome
FC: June Monroe Wilson | One Year of Being Awesome
There are many things that we wish for you in this world. The first among them is that you love yourself, and you love others. Nothing is greater than love.
Loved from the start | Beautiful from the beginning
"I asked God if it was okay to be melodramatic and she said yes. I asked her if it was okay to be short and she said it sure is. I asked her if I could wear nail polish or not wear nail polish, and she said honey, (she calls me that sometimes) she said you can do just exactly what you want to. Thanks God I said. And is it even okay if I don't paragraph my letters? Sweetcakes, God said (who knows where she picked that up) what I'm telling you is, Yes Yes Yes"
When We met You | June Monroe Wilson | Your were named for two of the most inspiring people that your dad and I knew. June was your dad's grandmother's name; she raised 7 kids by herself. Monroe is your mom's grandpa. Not only was he the warmest, most kind person to ever live, but he was also a brave soldier that survived 2 wars to make it home to his family. Both we're flawed, but were beautiful. Both would be proud of you. | MEASUREMENTS | BIRTH DATE: June 17, 2010 | POUNDS: 7 | OUNCES: 13 | INCHES: 21
You're original due date was June 23rd, but Dr. DeRosier decided to induce us at 6 AM on the 17th. Apparently, after we made the appointment, the nurses called us to try and switch days, but fortunately we didn't get the message. Aunt Rosie got one of her friends, Nurse Shae, to be our nurse and by 1 p.m. we were ready to meet our little girl! After only a half hour of pushing, you came in to the world perfect and happy. You were so peaceful that you actually forgot to cry for a few seconds. To this day, you still think before you cry. We loved you more than anything from that moment on.
The first 3 months of your life were filled with pooping (on daddy, at one point), sleeping at odd times, and lots and lots of milk. Our sweet girl could eat as much as a six month old by 3 months, You slept during the day,, were up at night, and had to have a bottle every 3 hours! Even at 4 AM, you were incredibly perfect. Sitting in your room at the townhouse, doing nothing but watching you was more than perfect. | The First 3 Months
You got your first cold- it almost made me cry, seeing you so sick. You had a mobile that would play projections of animals...you loved watching it until you fell asleep! You took your first swim at Aunt Rosie's pool. You and daddy would sit on the bed and "talk" to each other, and no matter what, you always smiled! You had your first taste of rice cereal- gulp! You had your 1 and 3 month old shots. You started noticing specific things, like "Mr. Sun", a pink and yellow flower that hung from your carseat.

 You Can Crawl! January 2011
These past few months have been remarkable. Our little girl has grown from a tiny baby to an independent toddler. You're gaining more words by the day (up, dog, cat, dada), and can stand completely alone. You are beautiful, intelligent, and so incredibly observant. The amount of love that you give out is breathtaking, and every day we can't wait to see what else you will show us. | 9-12 Months
here's to the good things that have come and gone, and the good things that have yet to. to the beautiful soul that greets us every day with a passion for life. to the way you laugh at yourself, to the way you laugh at us. to the little teeth you have, to how strong you are. to your curly hair, and big blue eyes. to the words you know, and to the steps you take. | JUNE MONROE WILSON: ONE AND AWESOME
June- The last year with you has been the most gratifying, complete year of our lives. You will never understand how much we love you, or ever comprehend the breadth of our willingness to do anything for you. You are all of the good things in this world, and without doubt, the most remarkably special person that has or will come in to our lives. Life is hard, and there will always be times where you aren't sure what your next step should be. Just remember that no matter what moves you decide to make in your life, we couldn't be more proud of you, from the first day to the last. -Mommy and Daddy
