3: RECIPE FOR A HAPPY MARRIAGE 1 cup of consideration 2 cupfuls praise 1 reasonable budget 2 cupfuls of flattery carefully concealed 2 cupfuls milk of human kindness 1 gallon faith in God and each other A generous dash of cooperation 3 teaspoons of pure extract of "I am sorry" Children (more or less, to taste) 1 cup of confidence and encouragement 1 large or several small hobbies 1 cup of blindness to each others faults 1 cup of courtesy 1 small pinch of in-laws 1 cup of contentment Flavor with frequent portions of recreation and a dash of happy memories. Stir well and remove any specks of jealousy, temper, or criticism. Sweeten well with generous portions of love and keep warm with a steady flame of devotion. Never serve with a cold shoulder or a hot tongue.

PUMPKIN CRUNCH | INGREDIENTS: 30-32 oz CAN PUMPKIN (not pumpkin pie mix) 3 EGGS 1 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR 2 TEASPOONS CINNAMON 1 CUP EVAPORATED MILK YELLOW CAKE MIX (BETTY CROCKER'S) 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS 2 STICKS BUTTER LARGE TUB OF COOL WHIP MIX THE PUMPKIN, EGGS, SUGAR, CINNAMON, AND EVAPORATED MILK WITH A SPOON UNTIL WELL MIXED. POUR MIXTURE INTO A 9X13 PAN THAT IS LINED ON THE BOTTOM AND SIDES WITH WAX PAPER. USE 1 LARGE PIECE OF WAX PAPER TO LINE THE PAN. TAKE THE YELLOW CAKE MIX AND SPRINKLE THE WHOLE DRY MIX OVER THE TOP OF THE PUMPKIN MIXTURE, SPREAD EVENLY. TAKE 1 CUP CHOPPED WALNUTS AND SPRINKLE THEM OVER THE DRY CAKE MIX. MELT 2 STICKS BUTTER AND POUR EVENLY OVER THE NUTS AND DRY CAKE MIX. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. APPX 45 MIN. LET THIS COOL APPROX 2 HOURS THEN INVERT ONTO FLAT SURFACE, PEEL WAX PAPER OFF AND TOP WITH COOL WHIP
5: Baby Cheesecakes 16 oz cream cheese – softened (can use reduced fat) 3/4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 large eggs 1 box of vanilla or chocolate flavored wafers 1 can cherry, strawberry or blueberry or your choice of favorite pie fruit filling small metallic (not paper) cupcake liners (You can find these in the cup and paper plate section at Walmart. They are nearly the exact size of the vanilla wafers, 1 inches in diameter.) Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees and combine the first 5 ingredi ents in a food processor or heavy duty mixer and beat till smooth. Step 2: Place a vanilla wafer in each of the small cups, flat side down. Step 3: Pour cheesecake mixture into each cup, approx. 2/3 full. Step 4: Bake for 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on them to avoid browning. Step 5: Cool (cheesecake filling will fall some in the center). Step 6: Drop fruit filling into each one (2-3 berries and syrup on each) Step 7: Refrigerate till ready to serve. (Servings vary depending on how many cupcake liners you want to use, but this batch will make a plentiful amount!) | Here are two of my favorite easy, quick and delicious dessert recipes that are perfect for entertaining and chocolate cravings! Here’s to keeping both marriage and motherhood sweet – enjoy! | Easy Chocolate Chip Cake Cookies Special Secret Ingredient: 1 package of any yellow cake mix (can use lower sugar variety) 1/2 cup softened butter 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Step 2. Pour cake mix into large bowl and stir in butter, eggs and vanilla with electric mixer till well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Step 3: Bake for 11 to 15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet and watch them vanish!

Love always, Maisie | Italian Meatballs & Biscuit Bake Ingredients (Serves 12) 1 (18-oz) pkg frozen cooked Italian meatballs 1 (16.3-oz) can Pillsbury Grands Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits 1 (14-oz) jar tomato pasta sauce 6-oz (1.5cups) shredded mozzarella cheese Heat oven to 375F. Nonstick-Spray 13x9-in glass baking dish. Microwave meatballs on MED for 3- 5 min until thawed. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces. Place in large bowl with meatballs. Add pasta sauce; toss to coat. Spread mixture in baking dish. Bake for 30-40 min until edges are golden brown & biscuit pieces are cooked. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 2-5 min to melt cheese. Let stand 10 min before serving.
9: MINI CHEESECAKES (48 servings) Ingredients 1 (12 ounce) package vanilla wafers; 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese; 3/4 cup white sugar; 2 eggs; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; 1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line miniature muffin tins mini paper liners. Crush or place whole vanilla wafers in bottom of each cup. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs & vanilla until light & fluffy. Fill each miniature muffin liner with this mixture, almost to the top. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool. Top with a teaspoonful of cherry pie filling. Wishing you wedded bliss as sweet as mini cheesecakes.
10: Red Velvet Cake Balls 1 box red velvet cake mix (cook as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake) 1 can cream cheese frosting (16 oz.) 1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate) wax paper 1. After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl. 2. Mix thoroughly with 1 can cream cheese frosting. (It may be easier to use fingers to mix together, but be warned it will get messy.) 3. Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. (Should make 45-50. You can get even more if you use a mini ice cream scooper, but I like to hand roll them.) 4. Chill for several hours. (You can speed this up by putting in the freezer.) 5. Melt chocolate in microwave per directions on package. 6. Roll balls in chocolate and lay on wax paper until firm. (Use a spoon to dip and roll in chocolate and then tap off extra.) | Susan C. The Corolla and its drama, please take away her keys! Remember one time at church, I wasn’t there.. But you managed to faint and cause a big scare.. Church conferences, Christmas, and New Years as well. Three….Two….One…soon you’ll hear wedding bells. I can’t believe how quickly we’ve grown.. You are truly one special girl I am lucky to know. 12: CHICKEN TIKKA MISALA 4.5 lb. boneless chicken thighs (cut into small pieces) 1 - 8 oz tomato sauce cans 2 medium onions 2-3 cloves 1 small piece of cinnamon vegetable oil tandoori masala curry powder corriander powder cumen seeds small pieces of cut ginger cloves of grated garlic 1/2 stick of butter 1 - 16 oz. sour cream 1. (low- med heat) fry onions, 2-3 cloves, a small piece of cinammon in vegetable oil; stir until brownish in color. 2. put tomato sauce, 3 tsp tandoori masala, 1 tsp curry powder, 3 tsp corriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumen seeds, small piece of cut ginger (nail size), & 3 cloves of grated garlic 3. mix and stir well 4. put 1/2 stick of butter, 3/4 lb sour cream 5. stir and cover for a bit 6. put chicken in, stir and cover until chicken is cooked (at most 10-15 mins)
13: Magic Cookie Bars Ingredients: 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted 1 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk) 2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/3 cup flaked coconut 1 cup chopped nuts 1. Preheat oven to 350F (325 F for glass dish). In small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly on bottom of 13x9 in baking pan. 2. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with fork. 3. Bake 25 mins or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into bars or diamonds. Store leftovers at room temperature.

16: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Susan & Joji, the word that comes to mind when I think about marriage is "compromise"-all day, every day. 17: SPINACH BREAD DIP 1 package Knorr vegetable soup mix 16 ounces sour cream 1 box frozen spinach, thawed 2 loaves round peasant bread In a large bowl combine soup mix and sour cream. Strain excess water from spinach and add to dip mixture. Stir to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 2 hours. Slice a circle around top of bread and remove inside and cut into bite sized pieces. Fill hole with spinach dip. Cut other bread loaf into cubes and serve with dip. | You're my sister...... 19: Chili Chicken recipe Boneless chicken cut into small cubes(1 whole chicken) 1 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon chili sauce, 2 tablespoons Soya sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar Salt to taste, 6 green chilies 4 big onions (chopped), 1 heaped tablespoon corn flour, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon ajinamoto/zeal, Refined cooking oil Wash the chicken pieces and dry them. Marinate the pieces with 1 tablespoon Soya sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon tomato sauce, 1/2 table spoon chili sauce and enough salt. Beat the eggs and pour them on the chicken pieces. Add half a tablespoon corn flour and mix well the whole mixture. Allow it to stand for 2 hours. Drain excess liquid and store in a container. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces. Keep the fried pieces in a separate container. In the left over oil fry the green chilies and chopped onion slightly. Pour the excess liquid stored earlier. Stir continuously. Add the chicken pieces. Pour the rest of the sauces and a pinch of salt. Mix the 1/2 tablespoon corn flour with a little of water and pour in the pan. Add the ajinamoto. Love you a bunch, Sonia | Veggie Quesadilla Triangles (serves 5) 2 Garden burger patties 1/2 cup salsa 1/2- 3/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican) 2 bell peppers chopped -yellow, red, or green (try to use different colors) 8-10 – 8 in. flour tortillas (can be flavored-spinach, cayenne, wheat, etc.) 1.Heat Garden Burgers in pan until warm and cut into small pieces 2.In medium bowl, mix Garden burger, salsa, cheese, and bell peppers 3.Using pizza cutter, cut tortillas into 7-inch triangles 4.Place about 2 tablespoons of mixtures into the center of each triangle and fold sides to create a smaller triangle. 5.Place all triangles into baking dish and bake for 375 degrees for 9-12 minutes. (can brush top with butter if desired) 6.Serve triangles immediately with salsa.
21: 1.Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees 2.Cut chicken into smaller pieces for faster cooking time 3.Season chicken with desired seasonings for taste and set aside 4.Cook Stove Top according to directions on the box and set aside 5.In separate bowl mix Cream of Mushroom soup, sour cream, and mushroom slices 6.Spray shallow rectangular/square baking dish with cooking spray. 7.Place Stove Top stuffing down the center of dish with chicken pieces lining both sides of the pan. 8.Pour soup mix over chicken to ensure it is properly covered and place small amount running over the center of the stuffing. 9.Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the amount of chicken) at 375 degrees, covered with foil. The last 10-15 bake uncovered. 10.Serve with rolls, salad, or veggie on side. | ‘Stove Top’ Chicken in Mushroom Sauce (serves 4) 2-4 Chicken breasts (depending on size) Seasoning for chicken 1 box Stove Top Stuffing mix 1 can of cream of mushroom soup (I prefer the reduced fat-Healthy recipe) 1/2 pt sour cream (I prefer the light sour cream-fat free is not good for baking) 1-4oz can mushroom slices drained | Dear Susan Chechi, I just wanted to say congratulations and I am sooo happy for you! 22: Taco Soup 1-2 lbs ground meat 1 pkt taco seasoning mix 1-2 pkt ranch dressing mix 1-2 cans Hominy 1 can ranch style beans 2 cans kidney beans 1-2 cans Rotel tomatoes (hot if you prefer) 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 BIG can tomato sauce 1. Brown meat (with onions optional). 2. Add taco & ranch dressing mix. 3. Add all canned beans/tomatoes & stir well. 4. Cook 20-30 minutes on low heat. | Shushan, We've always had a weird connection! The most random things oddly similar...which I've always linked to our June 2nd Bday! Remember the 3/4-sleeve burgundy shirt we both wore while getting our hair did for Chechi's wedding? I wish you and Joji all the joy and happiness that marriage can bring. ~Best wishes Emily | Creamy Chicken Italiano~ Crock Pot Recipe 5 hrs. cooking time 4-6 boneless chicken breasts 1 envelope of dry italian salad dressing mix 1/2 cup water 8 oz package of low fat cream cheese softened 1 to 2 small cans of cream of chicken soup~ ( I use low fat) 4 oz can of mushroom stems and pieces, drained. (optional) 1. Place chicken in slow cooker 2. Combine water and salad dressing mix. Pour over chicken. 3. Cover. Cook on low 3 hours. 4. Combine cream cheese and soup until blended. Stir in mushrooms. Pour over chicken. 5. Cover. Cook on low 1-2 hours. 6. Serve over noodles or rice. ***You can double the recipe if you have more chicken. I also add a little garlic salt. 27: Baked Ziti 1 pound dried ziti pasta Kosher salt 3 1/2 cups QUICK MARINARA SAUCE, recipe follows 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan, divided 1/4 cup grated pecorino romano 1 pound fresh mozzarella, half cut into 1/2-inch cubes and half thinly sliced Freshly ground black pepper Pinch of crushed red pepper or to taste Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt generously, and boil the pasta until al dente, tender but still slightly firm. Drain. In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta with the marinara sauce, 1/4 cup of the Parmesan, the pecorino, and the cubed mozzarella pieces. Season with the black pepper and red pepper to taste, and mix until well combined. Transfer the pasta to an oiled 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Cover the top of the pasta with the sliced mozzarella, and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan. Bake until lightly browned and hot, about 30 minutes. Serve immediately. QUICK MARINARA SAUCE (Yield: about 3 1/2 cups) 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil 1/4 medium onion, diced (about 3 tablespoons) 3 cloves garlic, chopped 3 1/2 cups whole, peeled, canned tomatoes in puree, (one 28-ounce can), roughly chopped Sprig of fresh thyme Sprig of fresh basil 2 teaspoons kosher salt Freshly ground black pepper Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Saute the onion and garlic, stirring, until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes and the herb sprigs and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Remove and discard the herb sprigs. Stir in the salt and season with pepper to taste. Use now, or store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.

30: Red Fish Curry 1/2 kilo tinned fish or fresh fish 1 tbs oil 1 tsp mustard 2 pinches fenugreek 1 large onion long slices 1 tsp ginger 1 tbs red chilli powder Water, fish tamarind, salt & curry leaves - as sufficient 12 garlic flakes small variety Soak chili powder in little water. Fry mustard and fenugreek in hot oil. Add onion slices. Saute and add ginger. When it is fried, add the soaked chilli powder. Add sufficient water, tamarind, salt, curry leaves and garlic. Place fish in this and cook half-covered. When it boils remove the lid and cook until gravy thickens. | I love you Susan!!! -Mommy
31: Chicken Curry 4 chicken breasts 1 large onion, sliced 1/4-1/2 green pepper, chopped fine 1 in. fresh ginger, grated or chopped fine 6 pods garlic, chopped 6-8 curry leaves (optional) 2 heaping tbsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red pepper 1/8 tsp black pepper 1/8 tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp fennel seed powder 3-4 cloves 1 in. cinnamon stick 2 tbsp vegetable oil 3 pods cardamom, crushed Chop the chicken into bite-size pieces, wash and drain and keep aside. In medium-size saucepan, add sliced onion, green pepper, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, and all powdered ingredients. Add the cloves, cinnamon stick and cardamom. Add the chicken, mix all, add water and cook on stove top over medium heat until the chicken is cooked. Stir frequently to make sure that the bottom does not burn. Add more water if necessary. When chicken is half cooked add the oil and continue cooking until the Chicken is fully cooked. Serve over cooked rice. ~Aunty

35: Kappa Biriyani (Kappa & meat ) Yucca (Kappa) – 5 lbs Meat with bones (goat or pork, beef ribs) – 2 lbs Garlic, onion, ginger, green chilies (all these should be chopped) Coriander powder – 1 tbsp Turmeric – pinch Red chilly powder (Cayenne pepper) tsp Meat masala – 1 tsp 1/2 coconut 5 green peppers 1/2 tsp whole black pepper Salt as needed Preparing the meat: Saute garlic, onion, ginger, green chilies in little oil and add all powders when these are cooked well. Add meat and cook well. You need some gravy, so cook meat till desired amount of gravy is left. Preparing the tapioca: Cut tapioca into small pieces, salt as needed. Add water and cook until tender. Drain the tapioca. In a big pot, place cooked meat in the bottom. Blend shredded coconut, green peppers, and black peppers in a blender. Pour the mix into the big pot with the meat and then add the tapioca. Cover the pot and cook for 10 minutes on low heat. Mix all ingredients together. Enjoy while it is hot. You can adjust the peppers to your taste.
36: Cutlet 1 lb minced meat 2 tbsp oil 1/2 cup onion chopped 2 tsp green chilies chopped 2 tsp ginger chopped 2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp salt 2 potatoes boiled & smashed (1 cup) 2 egg whites Bread crumbs (as required) Oil for deep fry Fry the onion, green chilies and ginger in oil. Add minced meat and salt, and cook covered. Stir at intervals to avoid lumps. Add the garam malasa, mix mashed potato and shape into cutlets. Apply the egg whites over the cutlets uniformly. 37: Chicken Pakora 1 lb Boneless chicken 1 cup All purpose flour 2 tsp Red chili powder Salt Ginger Garlic Curry leaf Water- half cup Oil- half cup Cut the chicken into small pieces, and then wash it thoroughly. Add enough salt to the chicken then boil it for 15 minutes. Take a frying a pan and boil some oil then deep fry the chicken in it for 5 minutes. Take the flour add some water then add ginger, garlic, curry leaf and a bit of salt. Then mix it all to create the batter. Then put the chicken in the batter. Then pour some oil in the frying pan when the oil is boiling, put the chicken in it and boil it until it turns golden brown. Eat it with Magee sauce or Ketchup. 38: Vindalu Chicken Biryani 2lb. Chicken (cut and cleaned) 2 onions 1 piece ginger 4 pieces of garlic A bunch of Coriander leaves Vindalu paste 2 tbsp. oil Tomatoes 3 cups of Busmathi Rice 5 pieces of cloves tsp. turmeric powder 5 pieces of Cardamom 5 pieces of cinnamon sticks Red onions Fried cashew nuts Raisins Preparation of Chicken Curry 1.Heat frying pan with oil 2.Slice onions then fry in pan 3.Add sliced garlic and ginger when the onions turn light brown 4.Continue frying 5.Once whole mixture is brown add 3 tbsp. of Vindalu paste and mix at a light heat 6.Next, add 2 sliced tomatoes and mix 7.Add the chicken (cut and cleaned) mix all together 8.Fully cook the chicken 9.Afterwards add Coriander leaves | Biryani Rice prep 1. Wash and drain rice 2. Fry the rice 3. Add 5 pieces of cloves, turmeric powder, Cardamom, cinnamon sticks, and 3 cups of water 4. Cook until water is dried ( by that time the rice should be somewhat cooked) 5. once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a foil tray and layer the top with the Chicken curry made before 6. Decorate the top with sliced red onions, sliced tomato, Coriander leaves, fried cashew nuts, and raisins. 7. Cover with foil paper and bake for 20 minutes 8.
