11: No man is truly married until he understands every word his wife is not saying. | Brandi, Looking back over the years when you were growing up, I realize that we were deprived of many memories. You moved to Sylvan when you were pretty young. I remember you welcoming Amber and Kristin. I’m sure those years helped you to become the social butterfly you are today. Everyone’s teenage years are a challenge but yours was more than usual. You were always supportive and caring with your mom which is so wonderful. You embraced all the detours without becoming angry and bitter. Your persistence has gotten you to where you are today and you have been the angel gently guiding Clinton in the right direction. Now you are entering another milestone in your life with new dreams and visions with Dave. May your lives be graced with good health. May you always find happiness in your home and may it be a refuge from the storms of life. May your love grow stronger as you share your lives together. Love Aunty Joanne & Uncle Ken

Do not choose too young or too green and take only such as have been raised in a good moral atmosphere. When you have decided on selection, turn your thoughts to domestic use. Some wives insist on keeping husbands in a pickle, while others are constantly getting them in hot water. This only makes them sour, hard and sometimes bitter. Even the poorest varieties can be made sweet, tender and good by garnishing them with patience, spicing them with smiles and flavoring them with kisses. For a finished product, husbands should be wrapped in a mantle of kindness, kept warm with the fire of devotion and served with peaches and cream. Husbands prepared this way will keep for years.

In the past Brandi has gotten this recipe from me and has made the cookies and said Aunty you have left something out because they don't taste like you make them. I have said that practice makes perfect. | The time that Brandi spent with us was always a good time. Her and her Uncle Nick loved popcorn which we had on a regular basis as it was a family favorite. The one thing that her and her uncle had in common was that they both had to pick off the hull on each piece of popcorn. The time it took but they both did it as they didn't like the hull stuck in their teeth. I wish Brandi and Dave the best. 19: Gluten Free Dinner Rolls 1/2 tsp active dry yeast 3 Tbsp sugar 1 cup water, heated to about 110 2 tsp xanthan gum 3/4 cup almond flour 1 tsp guar gum 1/2 cup millet flour 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder 1/3 cup potato starch 1/2 cup quinoa flakes 1/2 cup tapioca flour 8 Tbsp (1 stick) butter, softened 1/3 cup sweet rice flour 1 large egg 1/3 cup cornstarch handful of sesame seeds 1 1/4 tsp salt Activating the yeast. Combine the yeast and a pinch of sugar. Turn on the hot water in your faucet and run it over the inside of your wrist. When the water feels the same temperature as your skin, you're ready. Pour the cup of water into the bowl with the yeast and sugar and stir gently. Set aside the bowl in a warm place and allow it to bubble to double its size, about 15 minutes. Making the dough. Pour the flours and starches into a mixer. (Or mix by hand) Mix on low speed to combine the flours. Add the salt, sugar, xanthan gum, guar gum, dry milk powder, and quinoa flakes. Mix everything together until the dry ingredients are combined well and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add 6 tablespoons of the softened butter, the egg, and the yeasty water. Mix until everything has combined well, about 3 minutes on medium speed. The dough will be soft, softer than a traditional roll dough would be. Do not add flour to compensate. The dough at this stage should have the consistency of cookie dough. Waiting for the dough to rise. Put the dough in a warm place in the kitchen, covered, and allow it to rise to twice its size, about 1 hour. If you have a cold kitchen where you know dough rarely rises, set the bowl on a wire rack, and the rack over a large bowl of hot water. Replenish the hot water every 30 minutes or so. Or, you can heat the oven to 200, put in the rolls-to-be, put a pan of ice cubes on the rack below the rolls, close the door, and turn off the oven. Shaping the rolls and rising again. Grease a large cake pan or casserole dish, lightly, on the bottom. Grab a hunk of the dough, about the size of the palm of your hand (like a golf ball on steroids), and roll it into a ball. If the dough is sticky, use a little sweet rice flour to grab it. As best you can, roll the ball of dough and shape it until each piece is smooth and whole. Repeat with the rest of the dough. Set the baking pan in a warm spot and allow the rolls to rise again Baking the rolls. Preheat the oven to 375. Melt the butter. Brush the top of each roll with the melted butter, then scatter the sesame seeds over the top. (An egg wash would make the top of the rolls shiny, but I prefer the taste of butter here. Up to you.) Slide the pan into the oven and bake until the rolls are firm and browned on top, about 20 minutes.Take the rolls out of the oven and let them cool, about 10 minutes. Remove and put them onto a wire rack.

22: The story: The one time that I cannot forget was years ago when brandi was up here in manning visiting everyone. It was the day that they were leaving and everyone was out at the farm visiting and hanging out in the summer sun. Just as they were about to leave I got the idea to start a water fight at least between me and brandi. I grabbed a five gallon pail and took a scoop out of the stinky rotten green water from the pond in front of the house. When I dumped it over her head she freaked out. She actually sicked uncle troy after me. I was running for my life as I thought it was about to end but god must have been watching over me. Troy stepped in a hole and twisted his knee (which hasn’t healed even today). She had to go in the house, unpack, wash, change her clothes, and all the while quite mad at me.

The strength and courage you had with all that you had to face during your teenage years is remarkable. I am very proud of you! Your wedding day will be a very happy / sad day. So happy that you have found such a wonderful man to spend your life with but so sad that you found him on the other side of the world! Brandi, you are beginning one of the most important chapters of your life. I pray that you will have a long lasting marriage and that after many years of growing old together, you will come to a beautiful deep understanding of each other. This will only happen by choosing to make it happen. You must both choose to build each other up with your actions and your words. Love is always more important than being right. 34: This photo and a beautiful "Letter to Our Precious Granddaughter" that Nancy found and saved was among her belongings that Debbie Coutu (Kretzel) forwarded for you. I am including some of the beautiful words on this page. | A Letter to Our Precious Granddaughter, No matter how hard you try, not everyone will like you or be nice to you. So love your family and friends even more and thank God for each of them. Try not to be unduly harsh when judging the actions of family and friends. We can never know another's heart or mind, and everyone has feelings that can be hurt. Try to include at least one kindness in every day. The blessings are enormous! Many people will forget your name, but few will forget a kindness shown. Marriage is the most rewarding relationship you will ever have, but it takes work, prayer, and compromise-day by day. Don't jump into friendships, or relationships blindly. Pray about each new encounter, and ask the Lord's guidance. He will lead you in the way you should go. Take time frequently to have fun; it needn't be costly. Remember as long as you have family and friends plus a right relationship with the Lord, you are rich beyond measure.

39: I still remember when Brandi and Lindsay met in kindergarten. It was like they were sisters. They not only looked so much alike, they even dressed alike without knowing what each of them were wearing that day. Brandi was just like another daughter in our family. She has always been such a warm, caring girl. She would light a room when she walks in. She has always been very special to us and will always be. So very happy she has found the love of her life. She so deserves love always. To me she will always be the little girl I've known for so long. All our love, Claude and Roxanne
40: Brandi, you have been a great friend in so many ways. We've had a lot of fun together, and you’ve always been there for me when things were tough. We've come to know one another so well, that we have an understanding that goes beyond words. You are amazing in so many ways and such a big part of my life. I am honored to be a part of your special day and to be by your side to witness the commitment you and Dave will make to each other. The most beautiful words are not enough to express what I will feel for you on your special day but it will be one I’ll remember forever. I am so happy because I know you’ll join your life with the man you love. When you walk down the aisle, you will be surrounded by the people you love dearly and who love you. When you say “I do” to your future husband and “I do” to a new life it will be full of challenges but mostly, a lot of happy and wonderful moments because your love is true. By yourselves, you are amazing people, but when you are joined, you are much more than that, you are complete. I wish your friendship and love continues everlasting into your partnership, as I know it will. Keep laughing, keep succeeding at everything you do together, holding each other in love and overlooking the little things. The love you and Dave share is something that inspires many. You balance each other out in many different ways, you push each other to be committed and to grow. Dave makes you laugh; you make him settled. I feel nothing but joy for the both of you, because of the awesome adventure that’s in store for you. I know you will be one of those happy couples that grows with each other, learning and loving. You will share more love, pain, joy and struggles throughout life but you are so perfectly right for each other I know any journey you face you will be by each other’s side. Remember to enjoy every moment, good or otherwise as they create the memories you will cherish forever. My greatest wish for the two of you is that through the years ahead, your love for each other will deepen and grow. My love to the both of you always, Maegan xxx
