S: A Rational Princess

BC: On the way back to their home, Robert asked Peter Pi what rational and irrational numbers were. Peter said,'' If a number's rational it is able to go into an a over b format. There are very few irrational numbers. The ones I know are; pi, infinity, and repeating decimals.'' Robert said,''Well there's our happy ending.'' THE END

FC: A Rational Adventure | By Claire Paluszak

Once upon a time there lived a man named Peter Pi. He lived with his faithful companion, Rational Robert. They lived in a village called Infinity.

Peter Pi wanted to visit friends in the next kingdom over. Rational Robert wanted to go with him, so preparations were made and bags were packed.

The next day they set out for the neighboring kingdom. The journey would be long and hard, but they had no idea what would happen to them on the long journey to the place they already were at.

Finally, in a spot in the woods, they decided to set up camp. That night, there were howls all during the night.

Once they got up and prepared to start walking again, they were confronted by a wolf dressed as a grandmother who said he forgot where the house was.

Peter and Robert finally decided to help the Big Bad wolf so that he could finish the story and so that they could have their own.

When they did find the house, they were behind schedule and they couldn't stop to rest that night. So they walked all night long. Only to be confronted by another interesting character in need of help.

It had started to rain once they finally stopped to take a rest. As soon as they had set up their tents, little red riding hood walked out of the trees looking very worried. She said,''Have you seen my basket? I lost it just a few minutes ago. can you help me?''

Once the rain let up, Robert woke Peter up from his slumber and they went off to look for Little Red Riding Hood's basket. They did, indeed, find her basket, so they waved good-bye and wished good luck and went on with their own story.

After a little while, Peter asked Robert,'' Say, do you recall the way to the next kingdom over? Do you even know where we are?''

Robert thought that the best thing to do would be to ask for a place to ask for directions. Peter agreed and he finally spotted one. and they raced over for directions.

When the couple got to the house they forgot that the house they were at looked just like the one they dropped the wolf off at. So they ran inside and they were thoroughly shocked and both gasped loudly.

They had walked in on The Big Bad Wolf being tied up by Little Red Riding Hood in her grandmother's clothes. The grandmother smiled at them and said,'' We've been expecting your arrival.''

The grandmother then said,''My granddaughter told me of her visit with you. She said you looked like you wanted to know something. What was it you wanted to know?''

Robert finally fessed up,''Why is Peter's last name Pi and my nickname Rational?'' Little Red Riding Hood grinned, as she stood up from her tying,''I can answer that. Pi is used for circles and is irrational, and Peter is irrational with his food which is why he has the shape he does. Your nickname is Rational because you are his friend and you are much skinnier than he is and I would believe that's called being Rational with your food.'' Robert, now understanding, was quiet.
