1: ATOLL | Definition - A ring-shaped reef, island, or chain of islands formed of coral. | -Fun Fact- Most of the World's coral atolls are in the Pacific Ocean | Example - Bikini Atoll, Bikini Island, northwest

2: B A Y | Definition - A broad of the sea where the land curves inward. | Example - San Francisco Bay, San Francisco California, Western United States

3: Canyon | Definition -A deep gorge, typically one with a river flowing through it, as found in North America. | -Fun Fact- Canyons are mostly found in dry areas

4: D E S E R T | Definition - A dry barren area of land covered with sand

5: Escarpment Definition - A long steep slope separating areas of land at different heights | -Fun Fact- | Niagara Escarpment is one of the world's natural wonders.

6: Flood Plain Definition - A river that is formed chiefly of river sediment and is subject to flooding | Example - Bachadeltaha flood pain is located in South Africa,

7: Glacier | Definition - A slowly moving or river or ice formed by the accumulation and compaction of snow on mountains | -Fun Facts- 10% of land area on Earth is covered with glacial ice. Glacier ice is the largest reservoir of fresh water on the planet, storing an estimated 75% of the world's water supply. | Example - Aletsch Glacier, Switzerland, east

11: A large body of water surrounded by water | laKe | -Fun Fact- 20% of the worlds fresh surface water is contained in the five great lakes. | Example - Lake Superior is located in Duluth.

12: Lagoon | Definition - A stretch of salt water separated from the sea by a low sandbank or coral reef. | Example -Blue Lagoon id located in Iceland.

13: Definition - A area of low-lying land that is flooded in wet seasons or at high tide. | Marsh

15: Ocean | Definition - A very large expanse of sea, in particular, each of the main areas into which the sea is divided geographically. | Example - Atlantic Ocean is located by New York.

16: Plain | Definition - A large area of flat land with few trees. | -Fun Fact- The Great Plains region covers approximately 502,000 square miles. | Example - Plains of Abraham is located in Quebec City.

17: aQuifer | Definition - A body of permeable rock that can contain or transmit groundwater.

18: River | Definition - A large natural stream of water flowing in a channel to the sea, a lake, or another such steam. | Example - Amazon River is located in Peru and runs through Brazil to the Atlantic Ocean.

19: Sea | Definition - The expanse of salt water that covers most of the earth's surface and surrounds its landmasses. | Example - Hopewell Rocks is located in Canada.

20: Tundra | Definition - A vast, flat, treeless Arctic region of Europe, Asia, and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen. | Example - Alpine Tundra is located in the alps.

22: Volcano | Definition -A mountain or hill, that has a crater or vent through it which lava, rock fragments, hot vapor, ect. have been erupted from the earth's crust.

23: Waterfall | Definition - A cascade of water falling from a height, formed when a river or steam flows over a precipice or steep incline.

24: geyser | Definition - A hot spring in which water intermittently boils, sending a tall column of water and steam into air
