1: Born: February 12, 1809 Birth Place: Hardin Country,KY. Died:April 15, 1865 Party:Republican Vice Presidents: Hannibal Hamlin,and Andrew Jackson. Children:Robert,Edward,William,and Thomas. First Lady:Mary Todd Nickname:Honest Abe First president to wear a beard while in office.

2: Before Lincoln took office he said there would be "No bloodshed unless it is forced upon by Government."

3: Abe's most important concern was the care of the union, not the abolition of slavery. The part of the blockade was | to stop the exploration of cotton, the souths cash crop.

4: Because they expected a fast victory, most northerners supported Lincolns war effort enthusiastically, the song " We are coming, father Abraham." was sang at the union army rallies that attracted thousands of recruits.

5: Another main concern was to stop or even prevent the agricultural manufactured guns and clothing.

6: What did he do during the Civil War? Issued the Emancipation Proclamation, helped freed slaves & awarded farmers who agreed to farm for 5 years with 160 acres.HE WAS THE LEADER OF THE UNION!

7: DID he make a have a big part?? Yes

9: WHO BENEFITED FROM ABRAHAM? -The South -The Blacks -Gettysburg

10: ACCOMPLISHMENTS, what were they?? The biggest and most known one was the Emancipation Proclamation. Although it didnt free slaves right away,and took awhile, it was still a great success, and saved and helped many lives

11: What would life be like today? We would still have slavery and still have fighting unions.

13: On April 14th 1865 Abe went to a play called "Our American Cousin". 2 1/2 hours later the same exact day,a southern spy from Maryland named John Wilkes Booth stood only four feet away from him and shot a bullet into Lincolns head....He did not die that evening, but the next morning..poor man.

14: What Would life be like if he was never around??

15: We would still have slavery and we would have never had the Emancipation Proclamation. He did a HUGE part in our lives.
