FC: Important People ! | By, Rylie Geisner Lexi Crane Luke Garret
1: Introduction | This project is about introducing people, that may be from the past and the present. This is for an 8th Grade project and there were three people working on this project. For each person we have to write 10 sentences. We also had to have two or more pictures for each person.
2: John Cabot | Born in 1450 and died in 1499 | English Explorer | Cabot was born in Genoa, Italy around 1450. His actual name wasJoGovanni Cobtohn. The name John Cabot is the English translation.
3: 1476 Cabot lived in Venice, Italy, the main trading center for the entire Mediterranean region. He worked there as a merchant and a navigator. Horrible experiences with Arab traders probably changed Cabot's decision to find a sea route to the far east which would allow merchants to trade directly with Asian traders instead of the Arab traders. In 1483 Cabot packed up and moved to Briton, England.
4: Miley Cyrus | Miley Cyrus is a famous singer and actress. She is on Disney channel with Hannah Montana and they have recently came out with a new show Hannah Montana Forever. On Miley's show her she lives two very different lives. One of them she is just Miley and goes to school like
5: a normal girl, than when she puts that blonde wig on she is a totally different person (Hannah Montana). Miley has a younger brother, Braison, and a younger sister, Noah, who is also an actress. She also has two older half-brothers, Christopher Cody and Trace and an older half sister named Brandi.Miley's birth name is Destiny Hope Cyrus. She was born Nuvember 23, 1992. And was born in Nashville, Tennessee.
7: Albert Einstein was born at Ulm, in Wurttemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. Einstein was not only a scientist, but also a social activist and a humanitarian. He spoke out against the German in World War I. In 1920 a demonstration interrupted a lecture given by him in Berlin. After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement. He was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined. Albert collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Einstein relaxed, music played an many other things besides science were an important part of his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903. They had a daughter and two sons. Their marriage was became a divorce in 1919. In the same year he married his cousin and her name was Elsa Lwenthal and she died in 1936. Albert died on April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey. | Rylie Geisner's Page

9: Luke Garrett's page | In 1969 Jimi played Star Splanged Banner on Woodstock in 1969. | The Jimi Hendrix Experience first started in London in 1966. | Jimi Hendrix was left handed but could only afford a right handed guitar, so Jimi had to learn how to play guitar backwards. | Jimi Hendrix play with his teeth one time. | Jimi Hendrix is an important person because he helped music to what it is today. He did things in music that no one thought of before. He helped make rock. Even thourgh he couldn't read music he is one of the best guitar players EVER.
10: Martin Luther King Jr. | When Martin was born his first name was Michael than he got it changed to Martin, following his grandfather.
11: In 1954, Martin Luther King became pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Always a good, strong worker for civil rights for members of his race, King was a member of the executive committee of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the leading organization of its kind in the nation. He was ready, then, early in December, 1955, to accept the leadership of the first great Negro nonviolent demonstration of contemporary times in the United States, the bus boycott described by Gunnar Jahn in his presentation speech in honor of the laureate. The boycott lasted 382 days..

13: Luke's Page | Abraham Lincoln was known for a lot of things. He is most known for being in the civil war and letting the slaves go. He is also known as Honest Abe for being so honest. He is a hero to many people and he is honored by being on the five dollar bill, on mount rushmore, and the Lincoln Memorial. | Lincoln is a unlucky guy: -when Abe was 9 his mom died. -all his siblings died at birth. -at age 3 his second son died. -1851 his dad died. -Then John Wilkes Booth killed him :(.
15: Rylie's Geisner's Page | Michael Jordan was born in the year of 1963. He is an American professional basketball player, considered by many to be the greatest player in basketball history. Micheal Jordan is 6 ft 6 in. When he started playing basketball he was shooting guard. After awhile he become known as an explosive individual scorer. Micheal Jordan went to North Carolina Collage. Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was the fourth of five children born to James and Deloris Michael Jordan. Although it's hard to believe now, Michael Jordan was unlikely champion. He didn't make the team in high school until he was in junior year. He says that no one in his family expected him to be what he is today and that's what has fueled him to win. He said people that know him the most think he is least likely to succeed and that's why his inner drive was to prove them wrong.
16: Rosa Parks | On December 1, 1955, an unknown seamstress in Montgomery, Alabama refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger. this brave women was arrested and fined for violating a city ordinance but what she did began a movement that ended legal segrgation in America.
17: Rosa Parks was born in Rosa Louise McCauly in Tuskegee, Alabama to James McCauly, a carpenter and Leona McCauly, a teacher. At the age of two she moved to her grandparents farm, at Pine Level, with her mom and younger brother. Rosa lived a long and great life. And she was a great women, and made some of the things into the way they are now.
18: Benny Parsons | Benny Parsons was born July 12, 1941. Benny passed away in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 16th, 2007 at the age of 65 due to complications resulting from treatments for lung cancer.
19: Benny started racing in 1963 at Mt. Clemons speedway. He joined the NASCAR circuit full time in 1970 with, Crew chief, John Hill. He has 23 top-10 finishes in 45 races. He raced in the #72 car.
21: Elvis Aaron Presley was born to Vernon and Gladys Presley, on January 8, 1935. Elvis graduated from Humes High School there in 1953. In 1954, Elvis began his singing career with the legendary Sun Records label in Memphis. In late 1955, his recording contract was sold to RCA Victor. He started in 33 successful films and made tv's history. Elvis had a very good career till shortly after 2 p.m on August 16, 1977. Elvis died on August 16, 1977 in the bathroom at Graceland. After being found on the bathroom floor.Elvis was rushed to the hospital where he was officially pronounced dead. Thirty years after his death, he is still always on our mind. | Rylie Geisner's Page
23: On February 6, 1911, Ronald Wilson Reagan was born to Nelle and John Reagan in Tamoico, Illinois. He went to college and played football and acted in school plays. When he graduated he became a radio sports announcer. He had a screen test in 1937 won him a contract in Hollywood. With all of khis acting he appeared to be in 53 films. In his first marriage he married Jane Wyman, he had two children. Maureen passed away in 2001. He had another wife and her name is Nancy Davis, they got married in 1952. They also had two children. 25: Sacajawea was a Shoshone Indian princess. The Shoshone lived from the Rocky Mountains to the Plains. Sometime between the age of ten and fourteen, she was captured by a Hidatsa war party.Suddenly there was shouting and screaming in the camp. To her horror she saw the warriors killing her people. They rounded up the survivors and took them away to there village. She was given a new name. Sakaa-ja-wiija, meaning "Bird Woman". In February 1805, Sacagawea gave birth to a boy. The boy whom she named was Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. Sacagawea carried the infant in a cradle-board as the corps.
