S: Seasons of Change
FC: Sunshine Christian bilingual school | 10 th grade | Mr. Jose Popoff | Balanced and Unbalanced Forces | Victor Ariel Vasquez | Feb/17/2012
1: Introduction | In this lab report we are going to be using a force table to determine the resultant of the concurrent forces and their resultant
2: Objectives | practice vector addition using components | observe the relationship between the resultant and the equilibrant | gain experience using a simple force table | determine the weight exerted by a known mass
3: Materials | balance force table and accessories (including 3 pulley clamps), metric mass set, string, heavy.
4: procedure | 1:If you are using a simple force board rather than a free-standing force table, support it with books so that the masses can hang freely. | 2:Fasten three strings to the ring by tying a small loop in each string as show in figure 2. | figure 2
5: 3:Place the ring with its three strings over the force tables center peg. | 4:Thread the loose ends of the strings over the pulleys. Tie a loop at the end of each string.
6: Data | trial 1
9: Conclusion | we conclude that the calculation of the equilibrant of the two forces led us to show the string positions on this force table used in the lab.
