Fifth grade students worked collaboratively to review some of the great books available in our school library. So there’s the rat, the cat and the dog off to eat the cheese that stands alone. They were off to eat the cheese until they got caught by the dogs owner, the child. But the dog gave the child a puppy dog look and the child remembered she hadn’t had her afternoon snack. So, she too was off to eat the cheese. They were just getting ready to leave to go eat the cheese when the mother of the child called the child in. The child says she was going to eat the cheese, the mother says everyone knows the cheese stands alone. The child replied saying "but momma I haven’t have my afternoon snack." 26: Type of Book Thump, Quack, Moo is a fictional book about silly animals with human characteristics. | Who Might Enjoy This Book I would say that 1st to 3rd graders would enjoy this book more than any of the other kids. Also, people might enjoy all the farm animals in the story. | Main Characters These are the two main characters in “Thump Quack Moo” - Farmer Brown and Duck. Farmer Brown is in charge of the farm. He feeds all of the animals. He takes care of all of the fields he owns. He is making a corn maze for a festival.
