FC: Blue Ridge Christian School 2011-2012 | Growing Together in God's Love
Blue Ridge Christian School | Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 | 2011-2012
Mission Statement | The mission of Blue Ridge Christian School is to endeavor by faith to fulfill the Great Commission by becoming a community center that advances the Gospel. As a school, we will strive to inspire children to become passionate followers of Christ and develop a love of learning that will last through their lives. As followers of Jesus, we will use our resources to make new disciples and equip believers to put their faith into action.
A letter from our Headmaster | Dear BRCS Family, I am thankful that we have this book as a keepsake to remind us of the wonderful first year that Blue Ridge Christian School had. The story of our first year is a story of God's faithfulness to those who follow Him. He brought a special group of students, teachers, and volunteers to the school and he has taken us together into a deeper walk with Him. As we begin to look back on our first year, my prayer for our students is that you never forget the lessons your learned this year about serving God by loving one another. I hope you will always cherish the memories that you have and that you will remember how much you are loved and cared for. For the staff, volunteers, and supporters of BRCS, I pray that we will we always see this first year as a reminder that all we need to serve Christ is a surrendered heart and a humble spirit that allows God to do his amazing work through us. In Christ, Ben Gatton

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. 24: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:5-9
