Positive Integer-Integers that are greater than 0. Example:4

 Negative Integer-Integers less than 0. Example: -4

Integer-All whole numbers, either positive or negative, including 0. Example: 4 and -4 and 0

Additive Inverse-The sum of a number and its opposite ins 0. Example:4+(-4)=0

Absolute Value-The distance between a number and 0 on a number line. The absolute value of -4 is 4 because it take four hops for -4 to become 0.

Multiplicative Inverse-The product of a nonzero number and it's reciprocal is 1. Example:4*(-4)=1

Opposites-Two numbers are opposites if they are the same distance from 0 on number line. Example: 4 and -4 are both 4 hops from zero.

Additive Identity-The sum of a number and 0 is that number. Example-4+0=4

Multiplicative Identity-The product of a number and 1 is the number. Example:-4*1=-4

Equivalent Expressions-When two expressions have the same value. Example:4(5)+8(2) is equal to 6(6)=36

Distributive Property-Take the outside number and multiply it by each of the inside numbers then add or subtract those values. Example-4(3)+4(6)=4(3+6)=36

 Rational Number-a number that can be written as a/b where a and b are integers and b isn't 0. Example: 6=6/1 a=6 and b=1
