FC: The Cowboy's Night Before Christmas by Spike42
Twas' the night before Christmas, When all through the stadium. Not a referee was running, not even a receiver The big screen was hung above the field with so much care, In hopes that the fans would be there to cheer.
The team was all nestled in their beds all snuggled tight, While visions of losing were in their very fright. And the head coach in his lucky pajamas and the assistant coach in his luck cap Had just settled down in their beds for a long winters nap
When out in the parking lot there arose such a clatter. The janitors and cleaners sprang up to see what was the matter. Away to the entrance we ran like a flash Tore open the gates and threw up in a sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow, Gave the lustre of midday to objects below When, what to our wondering eyes should appear, But a big 'ole jet and eight smaller jet ones.
Now Tony Now Felix now Roy and Miles On Demarcus, On Bradie on, on Marion and Jason To the top of the stands, to the top of the roof Now dash away Dash away Dash away all !
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky So up to the stadium top the coursers they flew With the jet full of equipment and Jerry Jones, too
And then, in a twinkling, we heard on the roof The skidding and scurrying of each big wheel As i drew in my head and was turning around Down the ladders Mr. Jones cam with a bound
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work And filled all the hands and turned around with a jerk And laying his finger aside his nose And giving a nod, up the ladder he rose
He sprang to his jet to his team gave a whistle And away they all flew like the down of a thistle But we heard him exclaim, 'ere he flew out of sight ''Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good- night.''
