2: Dominican Republic: | I went to the Dominican Republic this past summer. :)
3: People: | Spanish is the official language. | 87% of people ages 15 and over are able to read and write. | 73% of people are mixed ethnic groups, 16% are white, and the remaining 11% are black. | Culture: | Origins are from Spain, Africa, and Taino. It was the first Spanish colony in the new world. Many slaves were brought over from Africa, but were freed after the Haitian liberation of the entire island. | Geography: | It is in the Caribbean. It shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti. It is about twice the size of new Hampshire. It's mostly tropical. It is in a hurricane belt, and can get floods.
4: Zimbabwe: | People: | Culture: | Geography: | 98% of the people are African, while 1% are mixed and Asian, and the other 1% are white. English is the official language. Other languages are spoken such as Shona, Sindebele, and other minor dialects. 90% of the population of people ages 15 and over are literate. | It is located in southern Africa. It is between South Africa, and Zambia. It’s area is slightly larger than Montana. It is landlocked. It’s climate is tropical, and it’s rainy season is from November to March. | 50% are syncretic (part Christian, part indigenous beliefs). 50% are Christian. 24% are indigenous beliefs, Muslim and other are 1%
6: Turkey: | People: | Culture: | Geography: | It is located in the Middle East, and it is a bit larger than Texas. | It has temperate; hot, dry summers. And mild, wet winters. | There are several mountain ranges, a high central plateau (Anatolia), and a narrow coastal plain. | Turkish is the official language, they also speak Kurdish, and other minority languages. | 87% ages 15 and up can read and write. | Ethnic groups consist of Turkish 70-75%, Kurdish 18%, other minorities 7-12% | Religions are: Muslim 99.8% (mostly Sunni), other 0.2% (mostly Christians and Jews)
8: Ukraine: | People: | Culture: | Geography: | Most people (67%) speak Ukrainian which is the official language, 24% Russian, 9% other; includes small Romanian-, Polish, and Hungarian-speaking minorities | 99.4% ages 15 and over are literate. | There are a lot of ethnic groups. There are Ukrainian, Russian , Belarusian, Moldovan, Crimean Tatar, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Romanian, Polish, Jewish, and others. | Ukrainian Orthodox makes up half of the religious beliefs while there are many other different varieties | It's in Eastern Europe, bordering the Black Sea, between Poland, Romania, and Moldova in the west and Russia in the east.

12: South Korea: | People: | Culture: | Geography: | They speak Korean, and English. | 97% of people ages 15 and over are literate. | They are mostly homogeneous, except for about 20,000 Chinese. | There are about 26.3% Christian, 23.2% Buddhist, 1.3% are other or unknown, 49.3% are none. | It is in Eastern Asia, in the southern half of the Korean Peninsula. It borders the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea | It is a little larger than Indiana. | It's climate is temperate; with its rainfall heavier in summer than it is in winter.
