3: Boy: Grandpa, can you tell me about George Washington? I need to do a research paper about him, and I don't know ANYTHING about him!!! Grandfather: Well, I don't know if I've told you before or not, but I was in George Washington's army. He was a very good General and leader. 4: Boy: Wow, Grandfather! I never knew that you were in his army! Tell me more! Grandfather: Have you heard the tale about when George Washington chopped the cherry tree down? Boy: Yes, but it was a while ago. Tell me again!
5: Grandfather: George Washington chopped down his father's favorite cherry tree in his father's orchard when he was a kid. This tale shows that George Washington must have grown up with good strong values. George Washington kept those good ethics all through his lifetime.
7: Boy: There is SO much information about George Washington! Tell me more! Grandfather: In 1749 Washington became an Official Surveyor. A few years later in 1753 the French & Indian War occurred. (buzzle, 2010)
8: Grandfather: On January 6, 1759 Washington married Martha Custis. Martha was married previously but her husband died and she was left with two kids; Patsy and Jacky. Jacky died at the age of seventeen, how I do not know. But Martha was devastated. Boy: Did you ever get to meet her? Grandfather: Yes, I met her a couple times. She was quite a proper lady, and her house was always perfect! (buzzle, 2010)
9: Grandfather: In 1775 George Washington became the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary War. He was a 'four-star' general as he commanded the continental army. Boy: So is that when you were in his army? Grandfather: Yes it was! (buzzle, 2010)
