3: Boy: Grandpa, can you tell me about George Washington? I need to do a research paper about him, and I don't know ANYTHING about him!!! Grandfather: Well, I don't know if I've told you before or not, but I was in George Washington's army. He was a very good General and leader. Okay, so George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Virginia. (buzzle, 2010)

4: Boy: Wow, Grandfather! I never knew that you were in his army! Tell me more! Grandfather: Have you heard the tale about when George Washington chopped the cherry tree down? Boy: Yes, but it was a while ago. Tell me again!

5: Grandfather: George Washington chopped down his father's favorite cherry tree in his father's orchard when he was a kid. This tale shows that George Washington must have grown up with good strong values. George Washington kept those good ethics all through his lifetime.

7: Boy: There is SO much information about George Washington! Tell me more! Grandfather: In 1749 Washington became an Official Surveyor. A few years later in 1753 the French & Indian War occurred. (buzzle, 2010)

8: Grandfather: On January 6, 1759 Washington married Martha Custis. Martha was married previously but her husband died and she was left with two kids; Patsy and Jacky. Jacky died at the age of seventeen, how I do not know. But Martha was devastated. Boy: Did you ever get to meet her? Grandfather: Yes, I met her a couple times. She was quite a proper lady, and her house was always perfect! (buzzle, 2010)

9: Grandfather: In 1775 George Washington became the commander-in-chief of the Revolutionary War. He was a 'four-star' general as he commanded the continental army. Boy: So is that when you were in his army? Grandfather: Yes it was! (buzzle, 2010)

10: Grandfather: On April 30, 1789 George Washington took an oath to become the 1st president ever of the United States. Washington's presidential time ended in 1797.

11: George Washington died On December 14, 1799 at the age of 67 from a throat infection. Henry Lee claimed him to be "first in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen".

12: 15 years later... In 1850 the boy (Millard Fillmore) in became the 13th president of the united States. The grandfather lived to be very proud of his grand son before he passed away. ("Millard fillmore biography," 2010)
