21: 1. What caused the Great Depression?stocks were skyrocketing, prices souring and business cost too. People started spending less and saving more, that lead to less production and less jobs, causing unemployment to increases. The Government tried passing laws that ended up hurting the economy. Another cause was all the bank failures across the country. 2. How long did the Great Depression last?It started in 1929 and lasted through most of the 1930's. 3. What was life like during the Great Depression? Life was hard, dust storms caused farmers not able to keep there land. Families had to get all their belongings and go or leave them behind because people were loosing their jobs or farms and had to travel for work. Police men stood guard at the banks. 4. Who was affected by the Great Depression? Everyone was affected families were going hungry and barely anyone had jobs, and poverty. 5. How did the Great Depression End? Programs regulated wages and prices, which helped most families buy things they needed, like food and clothing. Others employed people as conservation workers, artists, writers, and laborers. Social Security helped the elderly who could no longer work and whose savings were gone.
