2: Autobiography | Before this semester had started, some of the things that I was eager to know about this course was what we were going to learn. I knew some of the things that we were going to learn in this course by, going to customer week in our grade 9 year. Customer Week was when I decided that I wanted to take this course in grade 10. Looking around at the students work on their customer, made me shocked because, they were as good as a person who works in the salon. Since, I didn't know how to do those services I thought it would be a great experience to learn them and apply them on yourself and relatives in the future. As the Hairstyling and Aesthetics class came to an end, I've noticed that I gained many skills close to the end of this course compared to the beginning of this semester. I learned how important safety is before starting a service because, you might harm the customers skin if you don't put the equipment on the customer to block it from the chemical like a drape. I applied this skill in customer week by, putting a drape on a customer before applying a hairspray to her curled hair so ,that the chemicals don't touch her skin. Also, I gained a lot of knowledge about the different braids because, this was one of the assessment that I never seen or tried on someone. After, learning all the braids by our teacher I applied them on the mannequin and on a lot of customers during the customer week. I noticed that I GOT BETTER as I did more braids on people. "PRACTISE MAKES PERFECT"

3: How does hair get nourished??? | Nourished hair means hair that is fully healthy without any dead ends or split ends and has proper nutrition needed for their growth. To nourish your hair assess the condition of the hair, is it healthy, shiny, strong or damaged from heat, sun, and color. If you suffer from split ,thin and dry ends then trim the hair as much as possible to get rid of the damaged hair. Nourishment of hair also depends upon your overall health and lifestyle. Like you are taking proper rest and exercise and free from all kinds of stress. If your body is lacking in health, then your hair will be lacking as well. Some dietary changes are needed for good nourishment. Like hair consists of a protein called keratinized protein. So it is important that our body is getting protein in proper quantity. Food like nuts, poultry, vegetables, fruits, grains, eggs etc all contribute to hair health. Some of the things that should be kept in mind for getting good nourishment, take balanced and nutritious diet, avoid spicy, chilly, sour and fried food, avoid anger stress and late nights, use only genuine ayurvedic or natural products on your hair. When massaging your hair with oil, the neck portion enhances blood circulation giving a way to let hair grow. To make your hair more silky and healthy use home products like apply curd an hour before you shampoo your hair, application of mayonnaise thirty minutes before shampooing makes hair silky, shiny, soft, manageable and healthy. Massage your hair with warm coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil keep it over night and then shampoo and condition the same day it would make your hair more silky, smooth and healthy.

5: Client Testaments | In this Hairstyling and Aesthetic Course I didn't find any assignment hard or challenging but, one of the assignment that I had difficulties was with the Curling Iron Procedure because, in that procedure I couldn't get the stem curls right. In order, for me to get the curls right I took initiative and tried it over and over again till I got it right. Taking initiative would help me in the future a lot because, there would be no one to tell me to do something, or get help, or hand in assignment, I would have to take initiative for my own tasks. | Reflection
