1: Homero Mena Mi Familia En America

3: Hi, my name is Homero Mena. I am nine years old. My favorite sport is soccer. I like to go to the park. I love to ride bicycles with my friends. I have short black hair and brown eyes. I like to watch cartoons.

5: My Family I have a great family. They help me, love me, and take good care of me. My mom's name is Maria. She works cleaning. Homero, my dad builds houses. I have two older sisters and one younger sister. My oldest sister Reyna is in tenth grade at Kingsbury High School. My younger sister Brenda is four years old. My sisters give me a hard time because I am the only boy.

7: Family Dinner My mom cooks traditional Mexican foods. My favorite dishes she cooks are quesadillas, caldo, and enchiladas. We eat dinner together each night. My mom is a super, good cook.

9: Family Fun My family does a lot of fun things together. We like to watch television. Our favorite show to watch is Phineas and Ferb. My sisters and I go outside to play. We play kickball and tag. I always beat them at kickball. We also like to read together. I enjoy spending time with them.

11: My mom, dad, and two older sisters are from Mexico. My parents moved from Mexico to Tennessee where me and my little sister were born. Then they moved to Arkansas. After we left Arkansas we moved to Oklahoma. Our next stop was Texas. In 2010 we moved back to Tennessee.

12: Holiday

13: My favorite holiday is Halloween. On Halloween we dress up and trick or treat. When we get back from trick or treating we eat the candy.

14: Our Truck

15: Our truck is important to our family. We use it to travel from place to place. My dad also uses it for his work. We have traveled all over the country in this truck.

17: Religion Religion is very important to my family. This picture hangs in my living room. When something happens my family prays. Each Sunday we attend church together.
