"Where I'm From" I am from video games, from Doritos and Pepsi. I am from the cool southern place of Louisiana. I am from the pachysandra, the crocuses I am from lasagna with turkey on Thanksgiving and black hair, from Nicholas and Christina and their parents, of whom I'd only briefly known one. I am from the big ears and taking food at a function because it's free. From "don't make sudden movements" and "don't show fear; they can smell fear" and "If Nicky would just hit them back once they'd leave him alone Mr. and Mrs. MCF". I am from CCD and church every Sunday. I'm from Louisiana and United States, Pasta and Chicken. From the musical mechanical father, the gardening/singing/and long-before-I-knew-her-painting mother, the crazy aunts, the humorous uncles, and the far more talented and successful cousins. I am from albums in my parents' room, every notebook and textbook from 16 years of school, and innumerable portfolios of drawings and paintings, some better than others, but all rich with meaning and memory, making it impossible to ever part with them.
"I Am" I am very smart and am nostalgic. I wonder why I feel negative about the world nowadays. I hear the roar of a lion. I see the buildings falling apart. I want to have the chance to go back to Michigan. I pretend to be someone that I am not at times. I feel the sting from a bee. I touch the fur of a puppy or kitten. I worry about what to do or what will happen in the future. I cry when a tragic thing happens, mostly if it happens to me. I am very smart and am nostalgic. I understand that my voice doesn't sound very well. I say I can do anything by being myself. I dream of playing for the NFL or NBA. I try to impress people, even though they don't appreciate it. I hope to go back to Michigan. I am very smart and am nostalgic.
Mardi Gras I went to the Mardi Gras festival, it was so much fun like a carnival. There were many costumes, this is a time I want to resume. I went to a store, for costumes if there were more. I got one that fits, there was one thing I want to get. To be in a float, so it's a moment I can note. I asked everyone around, but they rejected with sound. I sitting without much hope, but then a performer fell off the slope. I ask the people to take his spot, and accepted while I thanked a lot. I performed some tricks on the float, and did greatly at entertaining the folks. After that, the people thanked me, looks like a entertainer is what I'm meant to be!
"My Dog" I am always with my dog. Even if there was a fog. One day, we went to the mall. He went chasing after a ball. He kept reaching for it. He couldn't stop until he got it. He is a cat when he goes after that ball. He won't stop unless he took a fall. After awhile, he fell on my head. He couldn't stop laughing and I then had him fed. My dog then saw a cat. Compared to the cat, my dog was fat. My dog then chased after the cat. The cat was too fast. After that, my dog and I would leave. My dog is very mean.
Two Duel Haikus "Dog" Dreaming of freedom Often being a big pain Growling at that cat "Cat" Chasing all the mice Acting innocent and nice Trouble in my eyes
Lyric Poem "March" Go lightly,March. I covered the foxes from the rain, they were shivering almost with pain Just keep going, March. I'm terribly wet. To keep going is your good bet. We'll make it there soon. Go lightly.
Ode to my Computer Ode to my computer, which has brought me lots of entertainment. Ode to my laptop, which helps me keep up with current news. Ode to my computer, for being able to educate me at times. Ode to my laptop, for letting me communicate with friends online. Ode to my computer, which allows me to make videos online. Ode to my laptop, for allowing me to watch videos when I want to. Ode to my computer, for letting me to comment my thoughts on things that happen. Ode to my laptop, which lets me share my opinions on something happening in the world. Ode to my computer, which lets me see pictures of something or myself. Ode to my laptop, for allowing to post pictures of something, someone, or myself.
"Spider on a Wall" There once was a spider on a wall He was about to fall He was washed out in a pipe He could not fight That spider landed on a ball
Limerick "Bright" There once was a young lady named bright Whose speed was much faster than light She set out one day In a relative way And returned on the previous night.
Haiku "Cow" Call me horrid names Obviously not that loved Working hard always
