6: Born in the sky! | Dear Diary, Today, I was born in space. This stage of life is known as a protostar. When I heard another star exploded near-by, a ball of gas and dust gathered. That was when I began to form. There were clouds around me and then they got smaller. Then the clouds collided together and I got hotter and hotter and hotter until I was at least 10 million degrees. I finally shone like a bright star.
8: Main Sequence Star! | Dear Diary, I am in my second and longest stage of my life as a star. I am collecting energy and is generated in the core. I am slowly getting hotter and denser because I am extending away energy. I also let out an enormous amount of energy but I keep restoring hydrogen.
10: Super Giant Stars | I am finally in the third stage of my life as a star. I am a cooling and expanding because I am losing my hydrogen. My core is shrinking and the atmosphere is growing very large and is cooling. Because this is happening, my core is beginning to collapse. So I am now 10 times bigger than the popular and famous sun.
12: White Dwarf Stars | Dear Dairy, I am at the last stage of my life as a star. I am using up my nuclear fuel. I have exhausted my hydrogen and helium. I am growing faint and I am not bright enough to see with a human naked eye. My hydrogen is cooling down very slowly. But eventually I will be unable to generate any more energy.
14: Red Giant Information Extra! | A Red Giant is an evolved giant star. Its temperature is 2,500 to 3,500 Celsius. It is 10 to 100 times bigger than the sun. It is also in its late stage in evolution and the largest red giants are the red super giants. A red giant has exhausted its core of supply of hydrogen. The closest red giant from the sun is Gacrux.
16: White Dwarf Information Extra! | White Dwarfs are stars that have used all their nuclear fuel. Near the end of it burning stage, it takes the outer material of the star. Only the hot core of the star remains. The core becomes very hot and dense and slowly cools down over a billion years. This star will finally will unable to generate energy.
