S: A Fun Fact Finding Adventure!

1: George Washington was the first President of the United States. He was in office from 1789-1797. He is the only President to receive 100% of the electoral college vote. He set the rule the Presidents can, under normal circumstances, only serve two terms at most.

2: Theodore Roosevelt 26th President 1901-1909 Although an avid big game hunter, he received the Nobel Peace Prize. At age 42 he remains the youngest President. (not elected)

3: Andrew Jackson President #17 In office 1829-1837 Strongly supported state rights and disapproved of big government. Only President to fully pay off the national debt.

4: Richard Nixon was the 37th President of the United States. He was in office from 1969-1974. He was the only President to resign from office. He was the presiding President during the moon landing.

5: Grover Cleveland 22nd and 24th President 1885- 1889 1893-1897 Only President to serve two non-consecutive terms. He opposed the use of silver to back currency.

6: Bill Clinton 42nd President 1993-2001 He was impeached but served out his full terms. Issued 141 pardons on his last day as President.

7: William Henry Harrison 9th President 1841 Delivered the longest Presidential inaugural speech. Died after only one month in office.

8: Franklin D. Roosevelt 32nd President In office from 1933-1945 Only President to be elected for more than two terms. Rated as one of the top three Presidents of the United States.

9: Thomas Jefferson was the 3rd President of the United States. He served from 1801-1809. He was responsible for the Louisiana Purchase which greatly expanded American territory. He also sent Lewis and Clark on their famous expedition to explore the West.

10: William Howard Taft 27th President of the United States 1909-1913 Last President to have facial hair to date. Because of his enormous weight and stature, he had his own bathtub installed in the White House.
