2: Igneous Rocks
3: Diorite | Diorite forms in a volcanic environment. You can find Diorite underground ANY volcano! Since it's an Igneous rock, which forms in or under volcanoes.
4: Diorite | Diorite forms when magma cools. And where do you find magma? At a volcano of course! | You can find Diorite at any Volcano location. This rock can turn into Sediment (Sand) which later hardens with water to create Sedimentary Rock!
5: Pegmatite | Pegmatite also forms in volcanic environments, underground. It's fairly common in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Pegmatite forms when magma cools, and you find magma in volcanoes! | Like all Igneous Rocks, Pegmatite turns into Sedimentary Rock!
6: Gneiss | Gneiss forms in environments with a lot of heat and pressure. Gneiss is usually found in the center of the earth, which makes sense, because there's a lot of heat and pressure in the center of the earth. | Gneiss forms when heat and pressure is applied to Sedimentary Rock. Gneiss turns into Magma which later turns into Igneous Rock.
7: Schist | Schist forms in places with a lot of heat and pressure, that's why you usually find it in the center of the earth where all the heat and pressure is. Schist forms when basalt, shale, and slate all meet heat and pressure. | Schist, and pretty much any Metamorphic Rock turns into Magma which later cools to make Igneous Rock.
8: Rock Salt | Rock Salt is actually a chemically made Sedimentary Rock. It forms in salty marine environments! | Rock Salt is usually found in areas with very arid climates and salty bodies of water. Which makes sense because Rock Salt is formed when a salty body of water evaporates. | Rock Salt and pretty much any Sedimentary Rock turns into Metamorphic Rock.
9: Conglomerate | Conglomerate forms in environments with fast, and strong moving water currents! | You can usually find Conglomerate in Braided River Systems due to there ability to carry heavier rock particles which form Conglomerate. | Conglomerate forms when pebbles or small rocks stick onto each other due to the chemical bond forming a cement on the rocks. Conglomerate like all Sedimentary Rocks turn into Metamorphic Rocks.
