1: St. John Neumann was born in 1811. He came to America in 1836. He was born in Bohemia. He learned 12 languages to help all the people in New York and Philadelphia. He was in close contact will all the bishops. His feast day is January 5, which is the day that he died. He is patron saint of bishops. | John Magnor

2: St. Patrick used the shamrock to explain the Trinity. He preached the word of God. He was born in 387. He died on March 17, 461. He got rid of all the snakes so to this day there are no snakes in Ireland. | Zoe Naylor

3: St. Nicholas helped other people. No one knows when he was born. He died in the year 346. My saint is special because he is a bishop. He gave presents to children in need. His feast day is December 6. He is the patron saint of children. | Luke Thew

4: St. Thomas Aquinas is the patron saint of students. His feast day is on January 28th. He was a Dominican priest even though his parents didn't want him to be one. Pope Leo proclaimed him a Doctor of the Church. He was born in 1225 and he was the son of the count of Aquino. He was born in the family castle at Lombardy. He died on March 7, 1274. | Keegan Mihm

5: St. Gregory the Great, a pope, was born in 540 in Rome, Italy.He was one of the greatest popes who ever lived. He also gave all of his father's money to the poor. St. Gregory died March 12, 604 in Rome, Italy of natural causes. His feast day is September 3. | Greg Eberle

6: St. Therese of Lisieux was born in 1873. She was born in France. She is holy like Jesus because when she was little she wanted to be a saint and act like Jesus. She prayed every day. She died at the age of 24 on September 30, 1897. She is special because she did little things to show her love for Jesus. She is called the little flower. Her feast day is on October 1. 7: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was born on August 28 and is from New York. She became a saint because of her deep concern for the spiritual welfare of her family and friends, eventually leading them to the Catholic Church. She felt sorry for people who did not believe in him. Margaret died on October 17, 1690 of natural causes. Her feast day is October 16. Also, in the Book of Daniel (12:1) Michael is described as rising up to defend the church against the Anti-Christ. This saint's feast day is September 29. 12: St. Monica was born in 322. She was holy because when her husband died she didn't cry, but went back to her homeland to raise her children. She stayed there until she died in 387. 14: St. Maximilian Kolbe was born in 1894 in Poland. He is holy because he gave up his life for a young man. He was a Franciscan. He also went to Japan where he built a monastery. St. Maximilian died in 1941. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1982. His feast day is August 14. He is the patron saint of addicts and drug addictions. | Maxx Hartounian

15: Elizabeth Ann Seton was born August 28, 1774 in New York City. She founded the first American religious community for women, The Sisters of Charity. She died January 4th in Emmetsburg, MAryland of natural causes. Her feast day is January 4th. Something special about her is she became a Catholic. 16: St. Samuel was born in Egypt. He was holy like Jesus because he helped the Christians dig a mine. St. Samuel died in 309 and he was beheaded. St. Samuel is special because he was martyred. His feast day is August 15. | Sam Steigerwald

17: St. Andrew was born in Bethsaida. this saint is holy like Jesus because he was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He preached the gospel in Greece. He died crucified on a saltire cross in Greece. Something special about this saint is he was the first disciple of Jesus. he was Peter's brother. He was a disciple of John the Baptist and then started following Jesus. His feast day is November 3. He is the patron of Scotland, Russian, Greece and fisherman. | Andrew Parey

18: St. Michael the Archangel is holy like Jesus because he is the protector of the church. He is an angel and a messenger of God. He is the patron saint of police and sick people. 21: St. Ignatius of Loyola was born in 1491. He became part of a monastery. He started the Jesuits in 1534. He died at the age of 65 in 1556. His feast day is July 31. He is the patron saint of retreats. | Louis Kroog

22: St. Bernadette was born January 7, 1844 in Lourdes. She was poor and often sick. One day she went to a place near the village to get firewood. She saw a a woman appear. The same woman came to her seventeen more times that month. It was the Blessed Mother. Mary made spring water that would cure people of illness. Mary said to pray for sinners and do penance for them. Being famous did not change Bernadette's life. Later she became a nun. She died April 16, 1874. Her feast day is April 16. | Lizzie Wroblewski

23: St. Agnes was a very beautiful woman. She was born around the year 304. All of the men wanted to marry her but she said "No, Jesus is my only spouse." The governor's son wanted to marry her very badly. She said no. St. Agnes was put into prison by the governor. She was stabbed to death. She died on January 21st. She is very special because before she died she made a promise to God saying she wold never stain her purity. St. Agnes is the patron saint of girls. Her fest day is January 21st. | Erin Malloy

24: St. Thomas Aquinas was born in 1226. He is a saint because his family wanted him to be mean but he wanted to be holy. He entered the Order of St. Dominic.
