S: Geometry hunt

BC: "Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss

FC: Geometry Hunt | By: Sindhu S. and Karina S.

"Hello Aliens, this scrapbook will inform you everything about geometry in out lives. Please do not harms us!"

" Hi aliens, we have met your first demand by showing you a kitchen utensil. This is a food processor. It uses geometry for cutting up the food into identical pieces. The blade also uses geometry because it had to be designed to assure symmetric pieces.

The fruit cutter uses geometry to cut the food into pieces. Without geometry, the pieces would not be symmetric shapes. The blades are also curved and geometrical equations make sure the curves are even.

"Yo Aliens! Here is another cooking utensil."

This picture is an example of a collinear relationship because both points lie on the same line. | "Aliens. we are explaining to you the difference between collinear and non-collinear, so please listen carefully."

This picture represents a non-collinear relationship because these three points/places cannot be joined by a single line.

A point is the first undefined term. This picture represents a point, because it is not an actual thing it's just the marker of a place. Just a way a line is. | The last undefined term is a plane. Lines lay on planes. The earth's equator and prime meridian are planes going through the center of the earth. They can not be seen but definitely exists.

The second undefined term is a line. It contains a infinite number of points. These two point are connected by a line which is once again not there in reality but does exist. | "Aliens, We have tried to define the undefined terms."

"Here is a geometric building, Aliens!"

Buildings use geometry when designed. There are squares, triangles, rectangles, circles, and many other polygons.

"Attention Aliens! Even surgeons on earth use geometry in their jobs."

Surgeons use geometry during every surgery. Geometry is used to plot the location the incisions should be made at. Without Geometry many surgeries would be failures.

"Aliens, not just math at our school uses geometry, but so does social studies!" | Maps use geometry to correctly portray the shapes and sizes of the continents, and oceans.
