The rungs of this ladder are parallel. If they were not parallel, then this ladder would be very unstable and would not support weight. | The railroad tracks here are parallel. If the were not parallel, the train would not be able to run on them.

Both the shoes and the mitten come in congruent pairs. If the two in the pair aren't congruent, one of the pair will not fit.

"A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes last forever." | This Walmart logo is an example of something with rotational symmetry.

 Cone Cylinder Pyramid Prism

This building is a geometric sample. It has several characteristics that are geometric. For example, the building is symmetric. A line of symmetry can be drawn through the middle of the building and the two sides would be congruent. Also, there are lots of geometric shapes and forms in this building. Triangles, squares, cylinders, and rectangular prisms can all be found somewhere on the building. Finally, many parts of this building are parallel or perpendicular. For example, the columns are parallel to each other as well as the windows. The columns are also perpendicular to the base and the roof of the building. All these are geometric properties of the building.
