FC: Zoo Fieldtrip October 6, 2010
1: Zoo Fieldtrip | We had so much fun at the zoo! It was so fun seeing the lions, hyenas, flamingos, and much more! We talked about what animal group the animals we saw were in. Did you know that if an animal has hair or fur, it is a mammal? We saw lots of mammals. We went to a class about the only mammals that flies. Bats! The classroom looked like a bat cave. We sang songs, watched a video, and even made our own bats. We had a fantastic day!
2: We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you, you, you? | Are we there yet? We couldn't wait to get to the zoo!
3: Bus ride to the zoo!
4: Birds have feathers and lay hard eggs.
5: Did you know that some birds can't fly?
7: Reptiles and fish have scales. Reptiles are cold blooded and breathe air. Fish don't have to come out of the water to breathe. The use their gills to breathe!
8: Mammals have fur or hair, have live babies, and feed their babies milk.
9: Goat | Giraffes | Camel | Did you know that people are mammals?
10: Checking out a real bat! | Look at my bat! | Roosting Bats! | We made our own bats!
11: We took a bat class. We sang songs, watched a video did an art project, and looked at a real bat up close. We learned a lot about bats!
15: Lunch! We ate lunch near the farm. Then we got to play on the playground and climbed around like monkeys!
