FC: Trans-Atlantic slave trade | By bb119087

1: The Trans-Atlantic slave trade had began in subSaharan Africa around the year 1525. it was a cruel system of force and labor that went on until around 1867. In that time around 2 to 3 million African slaves died during those years

2: The slave trade even before Europeans had come to Africa, had been going on for centuries. As if it was a tradition to do so. | Out of every 8 slaves, that were boarded onto a slave ship bound for America 1 slave usually died.

3: The main reason for slave deaths were because of over-cramped conditions aboard slave boats, where disease and sickness ran rampant, through the boats. however though men and women had very different treatments. | Men were usually thrown under the deck where disease and sickness usually makes its way faster. however women were allowed to walk on the deck and were not as cramped, so sickness wasn't as common
