The most important rule of soccer is that you cannot use your hands. You must pass the ball using your feet. The objective is to get the ball into a goal on the end line of the field. However you do have a goalie that protects your goal by using his hands.
The most important skills in soccer are passing and trapping the ball. You pass by using the inside of your foot and kicking the ball to another team mate. Then the other team mate must trap the ball using the inside of their foot to stop the ball. Passing is an important way to move the ball up the field. | Passing and Trapping
Dribbling | Another important skill in soccer is dribbling. Dribbling is when you run with the ball at your feet. You can dibble using the inside of your foot, your laces or the outside of your foot. When you dribble you should try to keep the ball as close to you and as under control as possible.
The goalie is only player on your team that can use their hands. The goal keeper stands in front of your goal and tries to keep the other team from scoring. The goalie can only use his hands when inside the 18 yard box. The goalie wears a different color jersey than everyone else and also wears gloves to protect their hands. | The Goalie
Equipment | There are a few things that you have to wear if you play soccer. The first is your team jersey that has your number on it. You also have to wear shinguards held up by high socks. And instead of shoes, you must wear cleats.
