FC: The Conduct of Life.

1: The Word of ambition at the present day is Culture. Whilst all the world is in pursuit of power, and of wealth as a means of power, culture corrects the theory of success.

2: Our student must have a style and determination, and he must master in his own specialty.

3: Life Is Very Narrow

4: Culture is the suggestion from certain best thoughts, that a man has range of affinities, through which he can modulate the violence of any master-tones that have a droning preponderance in his scale, and succor him against himself.

5: Culturere redresses his balance, puts him among his equals and superiors, revives the delicious sense of sympathy, and warns him of dangers of solitude and repulsion.

6: Let us make our education brave and preventive.

7: Nature takes the matter into her own hands.

8: Good Criticism is very rare, and always precious

9: We are full of superstions.

10: One should have the ambition to succeed through life. Pushing each and every day.

11: Be brave and don't let the evils of the world take over.

12: By systematic Discipline all men may be made heroes

13: A man in pursuit of greatness feels no little wants

14: Books, as containing the finest records of hman wit, must always enter into our notion of culture.

15: Books are good only as far as a boy is ready for them.

16: Culture must reinforce from higher influx the empirical skills of eloquence, or of politics, or of trade, and the useful arts.
