S: 1st Epoch of Opiate Art, by James Allen

1: "Nature is made better by no mean, But nature makes that mean; so, over that art Which, you say, adds to nature, is an art that nature makes.....there is an art Which doth mend nature, change it, rather, but The art itself is nature." Shakespeare Art, in the most extended and most popular sense of the word, means everything which we distinguish form Nature. Art and Nature are the two most comprehensive genera of which the human mind has formed the conception. Under the genus Nature, or the genus Art we include all the phenomena of the universe. | In The Beginning

14: 2nd Era | Opiate: anything that causes dullness or inactivity or soothes the feelings. Theology: The field of study of God and/or Gods and/or spirits attributes and relationship(s) to the universe. Heritage: Something that comes or belongs to one by reason of birth. Politics: Methods or maneuvers, principles or opinions. It is an evil paradox that men with the lowest motives can launch wars by appealing to the highest ideals of better men. – Charlie Reese

38: 3rd Inning of Mind | "Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon than that the Word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and for my own part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel." - Thomas Paine

61: “Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.” -Alan Moore, Watchmen | "I am what I am and that's all that I am."- Popeye | 4th Set the Strippers

66: 5th Filtration Series | "The fateful question for the human species seems to me to be whether and to what extent their cultural development will succeed in mastering the disturbance of their communal life by the human instinct of aggression and self-destruction. It may be that in this respect precisely the present time deserves a special interest. Men have gained control over the forces of nature to such an extent that with their help they would no difficulty in exterminating one another to the last man. They know this, and hence comes a large part of their current unrest, their unhappiness and their mood of anxiety. And now it is to be expected that the other of the two 'Heavenly Powers', eternal Eros, will make an effort to assert himself in the struggle with his equally immortal adversary. But who can foresee with what success and with what result?"- Civilization and Its Discontents, by Sigmund Freud.

These actions have influence upon life's reproduction and evolution over time. Power among social animals can be broken down into three primary categories; trust, awareness, and resources. Trust is the social bonding needed for grouping, in order to reproduce and share information and resources for mutual support for survival and continuing evolution. Awareness is the knowledge one has of the environment and nature around oneself. Resources are sought after materials by the society/individual for survival and social purposes.

89: The Hydra of Symbiotic Realism | Nayef Al-Rodhan’s Symbiotic Realism theory of international relations is based on four interlocking dimensions of the global system: 1) interdependence; 2) instant connectivity; 3) global anarchy; and 4) the neurobiological substrates of human nature. He defines the neurobiological substrates of human nature that motivate behavior as basic needs, ego, and fear. When basic survival needs met, Nayef Al-Rodhan argues that humans can aspire to higher things such as morality. Thus, in order for society to prosper, the state of nature among individuals must be mitigated. This has historically been done through the establishment of states and of domestic governments.

92: Übermensch at 12 Midnight | The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, maintained since 1947 by the board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. The closer the clock is to midnight, the closer the world is estimated to be to global disaster. Originally, the analogy represented the threat of global nuclear war, but since 2007 it has also reflected climate-changing technologies and "new developments in the life sciences and nanotechnology that could inflict irrevocable harm." Cover of the 1947 Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists issue that first featured the Doomsday Clock at seven minutes to midnight. Since its inception, the clock has been depicted on every cover of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Its first representation was in 1947, when magazine co-founder Hyman Goldsmith asked artist Martyl Langsdorf (wife of Manhattan Project research associate and Szilárd petition signatory Alexander Langsdorf, Jr.) to design a cover for the magazine's June 1947 issue.

93: "I teach you the overman. Man is something that shall be overcome. What have you done to overcome him? All beings so far have created something beyond themselves; and do you want to be the ebb of this great flood, and even go back to the beasts rather than overcome man? What is ape to man? A laughing stock or painful embarrassment. And man shall be that to overman: a laughingstock or painful embarrassment. You have made your way from worm to man, and much in you is still worm. Once you were apes, and even now, too, man is more ape than any ape.... The overman is the meaning of the earth. Let your will say: the overman shall be the meaning of the earth.... Man is a rope, tied between beast and overman—a rope over an abyss what is great in man is that he is a bridge and not an end."-Friedrich Nietzsche

At the Cabaret Voltaire we began by shocking common sense, public opinion, education, institutions, museums, good taste, in short, the whole prevailing order." -Marcel Janco "You think you're so smart you're stupid."-Nora S. Goldberg-Allen
