S: The Eight Amendment
FC: The Eighth Amendment By Kaylee Seeley and Anjelica Martin
1: Prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive fine or cruel or unusual punishment This is the Eighth Amendment | Basically the 8th amendment means the government cannot put unusual or cruel punishments onto the person who is found guilty.
2: The 8th amendment forbids some punishments entirely, and forbids some other punishments that are excessive when compared to the crime, or competence of the perpetrator
3: Excessive -exceeding what is usual proper, or normal | Competence - the mental capacity of an individual to participate in legal proceeding | Perpetrator - to bring about or carry on the crime
5: How it happens in our daily a car crash and you sue for 2,000,000 dollars. But you can do that because of the 8th Amendment. You could sue for the amount of money for repair.
6: A a problem with the 8th Amendment is that the people can"t sue people for a lot of money or for cruel reason.
7: This Amendment is a blessing to us. Without this Amendment we all would be cruel and ugly. The End
