BC: Nine African American Boys were charged with sexually assaulting two white women on a train.

FC: The scottsboro Story

1: One day there were nine little African American boy's heading to there grandmother's house to visit her, and to drop her off some lunch. They finally arrived to there grandmother's house one of the boy's knocked on the door three time's but there was not an answer. So one of the other boy's decided to write there grandmother a letter, letting her know that they stopped by to visit her and to drop her off some lunch.

2: After the nine boys got finished dropping there grandmothers lunch and letter off. The boys start heading to the train station to try and catch the next ride to Alabama so they walked, and walked til they finally got to the train station.

3: A hour later had passed and they finally arrived to the train station on time. The conductor asked to see all nine of the boys tickets before they got on. The conductor told the boys that they can not get on with a ticket. So one by one the boys start showing him there tickets to let them on.

4: As the boys all got comfortable on the train, about two hours later all nine of the boys got attacked by four hobo's on the train. All u seen was fighting, kicking, punching, and throwing of things at each other.

5: Soon as you know all nine of the boys threw the white boys off the train, and the white boys were in such shock that they got tossed off the train.

6: The Four boys tossed and turned on the ground, slowly trying to get up. Soon as you know half of the boys got up off the ground, but one was still down, and was hurt very bad from the fall.

7: So two of the boys took him by both of his arms, and walked to the nearest hospital to get him looked at and to make sure he did not have any broking bones any where. It took them three hours to get to the nearest hospital.

8: Soon as they arrived the doctors quickly took him to a room, to see how bad his injures were . So thirty minutes later the doctor came back and told him that his injures were not as bad and that he was able to leave the same day.

9: So the doctor told the boys that he was gonna let his friends know that hell be out on the same day, and the other boys were very happy. so the doctor went back in his room and told the boy to get dressed then he can leave.

10: All four boys quickly left the hospital and ran to the sheriff department. Soon as they got there they filed a complaint on the nine African American boys, to the Scottsboro, Alabama sheriff's.

11: So the sheriff's went to go look for the nine boys and, and it took them an hour and thirty minutes just to find them on the train. But when they did they quickly rounded the boys up in hand cuffs, and start heading back to the station.

12: One of the sheriff's decided to stay and check the area out, and as he did he found two white women with the nine boys. The two white women had fasley claimed that nine African American boys sexually assaulted them on the train.

13: So the nine boys had to go to court, for the assault the two women said they did. Later on that day the sheriffs had finally got the boys to the police station and put them behind bars.

14: A couple of days had passed and the sheriff's went to go get the boys to arrive at there court trial.

15: They all got in the court room and started the discussion of the trial, and the juror's found all of the boys guilty. The judge sentenced eight of the boys to death, and the youngest one life in prison.

16: Three days later the two women had been to the doctor to see if they really did get sexually assaulted by the nine boys. The doctor came to the room and showed that they had not been raped and reported them back to the police.

17: So alabama decided to drop the case and the nine African American boys were released in 1940.

18: The boys were very happy and excited that the case was dropped, and to be back with there family.

19: The boys finally went back home with there family, and they all celebrated and had a nice lovely feast for there release, and the drop off there case. And thats the story of the nine boys and the scottsboro case THE END
