FC: The Hopes and Dreams of Brooke Anders | Today's Dreams Tomorrow's Reality

Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. 2: Life as a President | My uncle is the president. You may not have heard of him because he is the president of a bank. (Did you think I meant a real president!?)Today my dream is to follow in his footsteps. My plan is to work in a bank and work my way up to the position of bank president. Since I love math and solving problems, a bank president seems like the perfect job for me. Still to this day I can see myself sitting in a big office. Being the best bank president I can be. One day my uncle and my family went out to lunch. I was only ten at the time but I still looked up to him and still wanted his job. I had secretly ivied him. My parents had told him that I wanted his job and he lit up with excitement. “I did not know that you wanted to be a bank president!”He starts to tell stories about his job. He also ran though a situation he had at work. “Well we have 52,000 banks in our system and each bank needs an amount of money. We have 736,000 dollars to give to those banks. So how much money should we give to each bank?”My head started spinning because I had never heard of that kind of math before. I had no idea what he was talking about. My uncle had seen that I was confused and walked me though the problem using smaller words. I stated to understand and we continued on with our lunch. “Thanks for talking to me about your job.” I told my uncle as we left lunch. “No problem!”

 Not Just a Yellow Ball

Softball is my future I love playing the sport Every game is an adventure Every game seems so short The ball screams to me I scream back You have one main job You attack A scholarship is what I seek I can see it now, in my sleep Playing with friends, playing with a team All of this, just a dream

All things grow better with music | Hitting the right notes is hard I always pull the same old card I have only played for one year Staring crowds bring me great fear The heat of the lights It feels just so right All the eyes on me I just want to flee I have many dreams of music Some make me feel sick I will play through school But not look like a big, old fool | Hitting the Right Notes

 My First Concert

Keeping my Friends | Dear Best Friend, You are an amazing person. I hope that I will never have to lose you. We have made so many memories together, and I would never want to forget them. Being with you gives me the feeling a bee gets when he finds a new flower. I dream about us still being friends when are skin is as wrinkled as an elephants. In our future, I hope that we will still know each other like we do now. I have heard a lot of people saying things like, I loose my best friends in high school. This cannot be our fate. With a bond like ours, I know that we will never be separated. We are like peas in a pod. We will be close forever. I can’t imagine what it would be like no to know you in the future. I can’t wait to know you in the future, and see what kind of a person you are. I hope you never change. Stay young forever. Your B.F.F, Brooke

Girls go to College to get more Knowledge | One of the biggest things of my future would be going to college. After high school, I will go to a college. Hopefully I can go to college on a scholarship. This would make my heart skip a beat. I would like to be a banker when I grow up so I will need to major in business. I don’t have a specific college in mind, so I have a lot of choice making to do. I would like to attend somewhere close to my family but not to close. My parents say that I have a lot of time to think of where my future might be, but each day I feel more and more pressured to find my path. I feel like a huge rock is on top of me. I feel that the sooner I know where my future will lead me the more prepared I can be. My grandpa use to be the dean of Utep, so I thought I would attend that school but now he moved on so I have no idea what college I may go to but the sooner I know the better. I would also like to play softball in college. I know that if I want to be successful in my life, I will have to go to college and be there to learn and not to party.

Rolling in Dough | In my future, I want to have all the money. Lots of money, so much money that I can take a bath in it. I want to make sure I can have enough money for my family but I also want money to buy things that I want and things that my family wants. Whoever said money can’t buy happiness was so wrong. I dream of rolling in money in my large executive office. In my future I would like to have a vacation house somewhere where it is sunny and the thermometer is sweating. I would like to earn the money I get by working hard and earning it. My sweat and bruises will turn to cash. Sure it would be nice to win the lottery but there is nothing better than hard earned money. Being wealthy is one of the biggest things that I see myself being in the future. I would like to use some of this money to help the unfortunate. I would feel like Santa Clause. Also, I would use money to supply wants and needs to the people I love. I hope I can be as rich as Oprah. Let’s face it, who doesn’t!

Always A | In the future I see myself getting straight A’s my whole life. Whether that’s in high school or college. Doing this would be a magnificent memory and a great goal. As of now I have gotten a 4.0 for my whole life. Always receiving A's has seemed to come as easy to me as listening to music. When I go to high school and college I hope to be challenged. Working hard and earning the grade is my plan for success. Having a 4.0 my whole life is a very challenging task. This task would be as hard as pulling a train for a few miles. I hope that the future will bring great things to me. I just wish that thing is first-class grades. I know that if I get good greats for the rest of my life that my parents would be so proud of me. I would be as proud as a mother of a new rock star. Now my parents expect me to get good grades but I think that they are really proud of me when I get good grades. I want them to have the feeling for their whole lives that they raised a child well.

A family is pieced together with hope and faith. A family is quilted and bound with love and grace.

Long Live the Anders! | Family is as important to me as honey is to a bee. I would like to stay attached to them for my whole life. My household family and I see our relatives as often as I receive homework (a lot). When I am grown and have my own family I still want to be attached to my family. Picturing my future life with out my family is truly tragic torture. When I have my own family I want to see my parents, sister and other family more than just holidays. Right now my family within my house does not spend a lot of time together due to my parents' work schedule. They work as often as a butterfly flaps its wings. In my future I would like to spend every spare minute with my family. If I make my own family or not, I will always make time for the people I love; my family. I really hope that whatever happens in my future I will never get detached from my family.

Helping Hands | In my future, I see myself helping people. When I have displeasures, I never stop to think about all the people that may not even have a home. I have always dreamt about helping the less fortunate and being a better person than I am today. There are many ways I could be of service to the ones that need it; like the people in Haiti. One of these ways is donating money to a charity. There are many charities out there like make a wish foundation or Saint Jude hospital. Another way I can help the needy is by organizing and participating in a crazy canned food drive. After collecting a bunch of beautiful cans I would donate them to the food bank. I will be like a machine, always working hard to benefit others. Helping people is going to be a huge part of my future. It will be as big as my executive office. When people need help we need to be here to help them.

To Me | Dear Me in the Future, I would like to remind you about all the things that you should be doing. Your number one priority should always be your family. With out family you would probably not be where you are today. And not my today, your today. Love the people around you like a bear loves honey. Another thing I want to remind you about is to work hard. You should be putting a lot of effort into your job. Hopefully that job is bank president, but if it is not I hope you have a job that you enjoy. Earning your way within your job is very important and one of the things that should be done. Having fun in life is another thing you must do. Life without fun is like riding on a public bus; STINKY! If you are not having a great time in life than you don’t know what your missing. In my time my friends are crazy but I don’t participate in half the things they do. On the other hand, one time I went crazy with them and it was the best night of my life. Live your life to the fullest and have a great time in life. There is no point in living if your not living right. From, 12 year old you
