1: Nouns Nouns are people, places, and things. For example: That horse is really fast! | George Bush is not the president any more. One of my favorite restaurants is Duke's!
2: Singular and Plural Possessives Singular possessive nouns are when a person owns something. Here is a sentence for singular possessive nouns; Halo's toys are really big! Plural possessive nouns are owned by more than one person. I'll write you a sen: ence for plural possessive nouns. The puppies' bed is big and comfy!
3: Singular and Plural Nouns Singular nouns are just one noun, but plural nouns are more than one noun. Here are a couple of singular and plural nouns. Pencil and dog are both singular nouns. Ants and clocks are both plural nouns.
4: Pronouns Pronouns are substitutes for proper nouns and common nouns. Ryan Howard is good at baseball. He is good at baseball. Here is a sentence for plural pronouns. The Phillies are a good baseball team. They are a good baseball team!
5: Collective Nouns Collective nouns take the place of groups of nouns. I'll give you a couple of collective nouns: a cache of jewels,flock of sheep, and a parcel of penguins.
