FC: Hippocrates: A man to remember in his search for TRUTH

Hippocrates searched for truth in the way he searched for what was realistic instead of sticking to the status quo. He denied the normal suspicions of sickness and searched for the real truth.

The physician that changed medicine treated people with remedies to heal everything from colds to pneumonia. An example of a remedy is Hippocras and he found truth knowing that healing came from rest. | Remedies &

Hippocrates designed splints to immobilize injuries to allow them to heal. He found truth in this by designing these to heal instead of "allowing the gods to heal people." | Recovery

Hippocrates understood the brain made decisions, not the heart unlike the Egyptians and understood the relationship between the brain and the rest of the body. This was very unique to the era of medicine he studied in and he had completely different ideas in what he thought was truth.

Hippocrates also understood the body was a unified system, not a series of different parts. Also, the stethoscope represents how the heart is the start of this system. He found truth in that he understood the body unlike anyone.

CHANGING MEDICINE FOREVER | The Hippocratic Oath is still in effect today, where doctors around the world promise to use their talents for the good of their patient. This was how Hippocrates found truth because he used all he learned to benefit people.

Hippocrates was a rebel of his time in the fact that he refused to believe the gods made you sick. He found truth in sickness came from life, not gods wishing evil on you. The rebel status was not an easy one to live by but Hippocrates refused to give in to the foolishness of the era he lived in. | This could have been negative because people could have been scared to go to Hippocrates for help.

Medical School | Hippocrates founded the first medical school in Greece to educate people how to identify diseases and treat them. He passed on the truth he learned through these schools to spread the truth he discovered.

Hippocrates was one of the first physicians that identified diseases as well as treated them effectively and he found truth in the fact that he changed medicine and was different than any other doctor.

ANCIENT HEALING | Hippocrates treated chiropractic methods by hanging people upside down and allowing gravity to align their spines again. This could have been negative because it was later used as a torture device and he found truth in changing science and using different methods to heal.

Hippocrates started a revolution of improvement in medical science. He is the building block to lives saved, changed, and renewed. He found truth in changing medicine forever and being different.
