1: = Hello, We are John, Shawn and Jax. We are honored that you are taking the time to learn a little more about our family. While we do not know the journey that you have traveled, we admire your courage and the love that you have for your child. We can only imagine the thoughts and emotions that you are feeling as you make this difficult decision. We would be honored to share this experience with you. Please know that we will provide a loving and supportive environment for your baby. We are committed to building a family that is surrounded by unconditional love and support. We will provide your child with a loving family, many opportunities to succeed and a house filled with warmth. John is an engineer and Shawn is a special education teacher. We enjoy going to outdoor concerts, camping, being adventurous and spontaneous during traveling and spending time with our extended family. Through the miracle of adoption we were blessed to have Jax join our lives in September of 2013. Jax is a relaxed and fun loving baby. He will make a great big brother. We are surrounded and supported by a large extended family and many friends who are looking forward to helping us welcome our new family member. We are looking forward to meeting you and to building a relationship built upon respect and honesty. We wish you and your child luck and love on your journey. John , Shawn and Jax

While we have been married for only a short amount of time it seems that John and I have known each other all our lives. Before we were married we knew that Shawn was unable to have children and that we wanted to expand our family. It was during this time that we first began to explore adoption. While we are unable to have children of our own we continue to have a strong desire to parent. To us adoption seems the natural way to expand our family. Family is very important to us. We live close to Shawn's large family and we are able to see them often. We regularly visit John's dad who lives in Mobile, Alabama and his mom who lives in Las Vegas. Every February we travel to Mobile to partake in the Mardi Gras tradition and to spend time with John's dad. We are looking forward to sharing our travels with our new addition.
