FC: Leroy & Lena
1: Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, Only with what you are expecting to give- which is everything. Katherine Hepburn
2: To a very special person... Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves and give you a little glimpse into our lives. While we have not met you, we already know that you have a great deal of love for your baby by the fact that you are considering adoption. We admire the courage, strength and selfless heart that you must have, and we feel honored to even be considered as parents for your child. We hope that you will find qualities in us that will make you confident that we will love, care for and protect your child forever. We have so much to share with you and we hope this profile will give you a sense of who we are as a family and how much we look forward to welcoming a new baby into our home. A little bit about us... We have known each other since college and after eight years of marriage we are still best friends. We share many hobbies and interests and it seems that somehow the laughing and fun we have together has only increased over the years. Our marriage is filled with love and happiness. We attribute this happiness to our trust and mutual respect for each other which allows us to grow together as a couple and as individuals. Some things we love to do together is go on regular dates, watch movies, traveling, going for walks, camping, hang out with friends and family, shopping and most importantly spending time with our children. It has become very clear that adoption is the means that God is calling us to grow our family, After struggling with secondary infertility and recurrent miscarriages for some time, we really felt God put adoption on our hearts and minds as a way to give a secure and loving home to a child. We both share the dream of adding to our family and we are very excited to add to our family in this way. Our values... Our faith and belief in Christ is very important to us, we have chosen to live the life God has asked of us through everything we do. This is lifestyle is one that we want to pass onto our children and hope that they will come to know Christ personally and intimately. We attend church as a family very regularly and have grown so much as a result of the messages preached there. We also believe education is invaluable and we want to do everything we can to help and encourage our kids academically. We both have attended college and we will strongly encourage our kids to do the same. Our home... Our home is spacious and offers a safe, bright and secure future for your baby. We have a large backyard perfect for playing. Our home has four bedrooms and a finished basement with a large playroom. We feel it is a warm and welcoming home. We are very happy here and love to have friends and family over. It is located in a small, quiet, family oriented community. We live on a quiet street and are walking distance from the elementary/middle school and park. We have a dog that lives with us- her name is molly. She is playful, sweet and energetic Chihuahua. She is wonderful with the kids and is very gentle. She is definitely part of the family. Our Family and Friends... Our family is very important to us and we strive to make our home a place that is full of love, acceptance, safety and joy, and that encourages our children to reach their full potential. We are very fortunate to be blessed with two beautiful children- They continually brighten our days and keep us on our toes. Shaelynn is five, She is sensitive, social, energetic, giving and nurturing. Rylan is three, He is easy going, affectionate, inquisitive and independent. Our kids have been a part of our adoption process and are very excited to welcome a baby into our family. We are fortunate Leroy's family lives nearby- we enjoy spending time with them and we treasure the love and support they so freely give. They are a big part our life and they are a big part of who we are- we really are a united family. Lena's family lives a province over, even though there is a physical distance- there isn't an emotional distance. Our time together is usually spent on the phone or Internet, however We make a purpose of going there to visit on a regular basis. We already have many happy memories through visiting Lena's family. We both have large extended families and everyone is very supportive and excited about our plans to adopt. We also have a very large group of friends- they are all like family. We all live in the same small town and spend a lot of time together playing games and watching movies. We also all get together for supper on weekly basis, we have a lot of fun together and share many laughs.
3: Lena is a stay-at-home mom which gives her the opportunity to do what she enjoys best- spending time with her children and cherishing every moment. Lena plans to stay at home with her kids as long as they are in our home. Lena is a very loving, caring, wonderful wife and mother. Lena is a leader and is very goal oriented. She is outgoing and open, she is very giving and finds fulfillment in deep and meaningful relationships. She prefers living life at a slower pace so she has time and energy to pour into her family- this allows her to make the most of every moment and be there for her children physically and emotionally. Lena loves spending time with her kids, they enjoy playing board games, baking together, making crafts, drawing and coloring, and going on play dates with friends. In her free time, she likes photography, shopping, writing, scrapbooking, and going on dates with Leroy. Lena is dedicated to following Christ- time spent with God is a priority and she finds joy in getting to know Him more and more. Lena works hard to set a Godly example for her children to follow- by the way she acts, reacts and shows love to those around her. Nothing is more satisfying to her than being a mom and she looks forward to the day when she can share her love with another baby. | About Lena...
