We spent may hours of preparation time at home, cultivating her conscience, forming her mind, and softening her heart to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and finally on that Saturday morning of February, she received the grace of the Sacrament. 71: On the way home from Eminence each year, we try to stop and do something unique each year. This year, we stopped in Mansfield, MO to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home. This was the home where Laura & Almanzo lived after they were married and where she wrote the Little House books! Emma was in her glory as we toured the home and imagined Laura spending her days writing and keeping home for Almanzo and their daughter, Rose. We fell in love with their backyard - where there was a huge tree that must have been where Laura sat to daydream and write! The picture to the left with the kids outside was taken because the scene reminds Mama of the scene from the opening credits of the Little House t.v. series!
