Francis Frank, was born Francis Fritz Franck. After joining his brothers in the United States, he changed his last name to Frank. His family was extremely upset with his decision. | Our Family History | Karl and Paul Franck were already living in the United States when they met Francis Franck's Merchant Marine ship at a port in New York. Francis Frank never got back on the ship. Francis became an American citizen, twice! The courthouse, in Goshen, NY, that held his citizenship records burned down, causing him to reapply for citizenship.

12: Katherine Susan Lockwood became aware of Francis Frank's existence because she went to school with Willi Franck, Francis' nephew, son of Karl Franck. She told Willi she was going to marry Francis some day. She walked miles to the family farm, where he worked, to make sure she got his attention. History shows she did! During World War ll, the American government was trying to take steps to deport Francis back to Germany. Katherine Susan Lockwood Frank, made sure their attempts were unsuccessful. Francis had already married her. Because he was married to an American citizen they did not pursue the deportation.

30: Twylla Lou Womack Frank 08/05/1943 - 06/29/2008 | Irving Paul Frank 11/15/1941 | Irving was stationed at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. He met Twylla about a year prior to their first date because she was dating a friend of his, Jim Moore. Although, Irving recalls there was no chemistry between himself and Twylla during that encounter. One evening, Jim decided to break up with Twylla. He had another date already scheduled for that same evening. Irving had the rare, but "lucky", opportunity to be with Jim when he went to Twylla's that fate-filled evening. Irving seized the opportunity because this time the chemistry sparked! He decided to ask Twylla out and the rest is our family history. Thank you, Jim!
