Tuesday e decided this morning that we'd go to the Disney World's Magic Kingdom. It was raining hard that morning. According to the weather predictions, the rain would stop at 10am and it did! Last year we took the boat over to the island so this year the kids wanted to take the monorail. The kids held hands everywhere we went. We hoped that because it was raining, there would be less people at Disney which did NOT seem to be the case! We walked in to so much excitement! The four piece band grabbed the kids for a picture before playing on the sidewalk. The morning parade was great and concluded with a street dance party. Mr. Incredible came up to Addy and gave her a high five which thrilled her and she danced even harder! Mickey blew a kiss to Avery and that's how our adventure began... | W

The kids were "Discovered" by an Australian TV crew while eating their popsicles on a bench. The TV crew got our permission and began filming the kids. They interviewed them as they had their popsicles. Avery was so THRILLED that she was going to be on TV in Australia! | Dear Grandma, You won't believe it! I'm going to be on TV in Australia! The TV crew found us when we were having a popsicle break. They asked me questions on TV. I'm FAMOUS! | Love, Avery | Grandma Markey 811 Ionia St Portland, MI 48875
The guys took the kids on Splash Mountain. We got some great shots of them on the ride and thought I'd zoom in on a couple so you can see the looks on their faces as they drop down and splash at the end!
We had a really fun time exploring all of Tom Sawyer Island
We took a raft over to Tom Sawyer Island and didn't know what to expect. It was one of our favorite attractions! There was so much to explore! We went through mines, inside a mill, over different bridges, up and down hills and trails, and over to Fort Langhorn. The kids had a blast playing in the forts. The windows had cannons that made real firing sounds. The island was a hit for everyone.
Other random Magic Kingdom moments... | Jim takes directions from an unusual source!
As warm as it was in the day, it sure cooled off quickly with a chilly breeze which prompted buying our new Mickey sweatshirts. Disney may be even more magical at night than in the day! The crowds thin a bit and there are fantastic parades, fireworks shows, light shows, the castle changes colors, and the rides are all lit up. Here are our last moments from a truly magical Kingdom.

The Hunt | Avery and Tanner on a search | While walking along the sidewalk and looking down, we noticed little lizards that would jump off the sidewalks and run into the bushes. The kids were fascinated by them and we began our quests to get a closer look at these foreign creatures.
Tanner and Addy search for the lizard that got away!
The kids had a blast searching for the "Lizards"
It was going to be hard to leave this Beautiful place!
We all spent the evening at Downtown Disney. We walked around and had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.
Here we are ready for our second day at Disney! Today we spent the day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Addy was thrilled that it was her turn to wear the "Princess Tiara". She couldn't stop looking at herself in the mirror and telling everyone how pretty she was. The weather was perfect for our day in "Hollywood"! When we got there traffic was horrible and backed up for miles. We were two cars from the entrance where you pay to park and some managers drove up to the gate and talked to the gate workers. Moments later the gates opened to the parking lot and we were all flagged in without paying in attempts to help clear up traffic. SCORE! That was $14.00 saved in parking fees. A good start to this great day... | Thursday

More random pics from our day in "Hollywood". The three favorite rides were Toy Story Mania, Aerosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster, and the Tower of Terror. The Aerosmith ride was the favorite with the adults! The ride starts by taking you from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, through the dark filled with neon signs, Aerosmith music blaring, and flips upside down several times! Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Muppet Vision 3-D were some favorite shows. Addy couldn't stop talking about meeting Quincy and June from the Little Einsteins.

Amy and Addy both had naps in the warm sun. Tom didn't get out of the pool the ENTIRE day. He refused to get out of the pool to order his food or even eat it! Too bad we didn't have enough time for more pool days..........we really could have used them!
 Avery's Hair Wrap
Avery was so excited to get her hair wrap again this year. She even paid for it with her own money. Too bad they charged by the length of hair!

BEAUTIES | Mommy's | Our last day in Florida.....we had no plans and didn't know where we'd end up!
Here we are on our last day of vacation. It was supposed to rain most of the day. We decided we could go to Sea World or go see the ocean. We ended up here, at Daytona Beach. We had a great time. The water was cool but the girls got their feet wet and would run out of the water laughing when the waves would splash them. We had a great day at the ocean...and it NEVER rained!
 Fun in theWaves!
Life brings simple pleasures to us every day. It is up to us to make them wonderful memories. CathyAllen
Avery Loved the Ocean! It was Sea World or the ocean and Avery had no question that she wanted to go to the ocean. She really loved looking at and experimenting with touching the Jellyfish that were scattered around the beach. She couldn't wait to tell her teacher about all the jellyfish she got to touch! Of course, she did lots of cartwheels and gymnastics to show off her happiness while on the beach!
 Avery at the Ocean
e had a good time at Daytona Beach. We arrived to a very busy city as it just happened to be "Bike Week" and was filled with the loud noises of thousands of motorcycles! We were worried about how busy the beach would be, but as it happened there was hardly one on the beach. Guess they didn't want to get off their bikes! The sand on the beach was soft but very different from ours in Michigan. The sand was soft, but the ground was very hard. There were people riding bikes up and down the beach. There was even a lane that was only for the beach police vehicles. The girls loved playing on a huge, beautiful stage. We also rode in a ferris wheel right on the beach so we could get great views of the city and beach area. | W
 Fun at Daytona Beach
If you want to know how Much I Love you, count the Waves
"Families are like fudge ... mostly sweet with a few nuts."

LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH
Our week of vacation had ended so quickly! We were not ready to get back to reality! Avery was very emotional and cried several times because she didn't want to leave Florida. The girls were so exhausted that both of them slept almost the entire flight home. Now all we have are our memories....
