S: Footnote Memories
 Friends & Memories
About Footnote | Footnote helps you find and share historic documents. We are able to bring you many never-before-seen historic documents through our unique partnerships with The National Archives, the Library of Congress and other institutions. Our patented digitization process is helping bring other collections to life on the web everyday. But Footnote is more than just a dusty, online digital archive. We provide you the tools to share your historical passions and connect with others. Footnote is perfect for History Buffs, Genealogists, Researchers, Family Historians, Military Historians, Teachers, and Institutions. The concept for Footnote.com is rooted in the company's years of experience in the digitization business as iArchives, Inc. Starting in 1999, iArchives digitized historical newspapers and other archive content for leading universities, libraries and media companies across the United States. From the beginning, the iArchives team developed a unique understanding of the value of creating an online repository for the world's original source documents. Leveraging the proprietary systems and patented processes built for the digitization of paper, microfilm and microfiche collections, the management team made a strategic decision: Use the iArchives platform to provide access to these historically significant and valuable collections. In January of 2007 Footnote.com went live with over 5 million documents already featured on the site. Today we continue to grow and bring to life history that was once hidden.

Everyone anticipated the launch with great enthusiasm. To mark the occasion we had a special Costco cake. It was a little too "Happy Halloween" but you get the idea.
BAD Fridays | April 2007 | Once a Month we had Burgers & Dawgs (BAD) Friday

Bowling at Work | Everyone needs a break now and then. We decided to take our break all the way to the bowling alley.
Cinco de Mayo Fiesta | We love Cinco de Mayo!! | In 2007 we had a Cinco de Mayo salsa cook off. Robert Wille's roasted salsa was a hit with everyone. The best part of the day came as Roger copped the head off a piñata that Brian Hansen held in his outstretched arm. Talk about a workers comp nightmare!
Halloween 2006 | The Dress Heard Round the World. Robert Wille's purple, velvet Renaissance dress is the stuff of nightmares! | Halloween 2006 was a blast! We barbecued, showed off our costumes, and carved pumpkins. Some pumpkins were more interesting than others. Good times!
Halloween brings out the best and the worst in people. One of the best moments of 2007 was watching Russ arrive to the office to find three of his stunt doubles. Jackman, Roger, and Peter spent a day imitating some of the more unique aspects of Russ Wilding's wardrobe. | Halloween 2007
Halloween 2008 | Robert shaved his head and donned a purple shirt and transformed into Scott Christensen. After Robert's transformation, Scott never wore his purple shirt again. | Guitar Hero Scott
Who Do You Think You Are?!? | Nathan Moon camped out in Justin's office looking very official in his sweater vest. | Jake Hathaway dressed up as Scott Jackman and even adopted some of Jackman's uncanny mannerisms. | In their never ending campaign to razz Justin Schroefpher, the guys dressed as Shroef. Sweater vests were worn, large words were used out of context, and duck hit finger warts. A good time was had by all! Even the real Justin had a laugh or two. | Todd "Ute Hater" Brewer went way out of character and dressed up as a Ute fan. Justin was so glad to have a fellow Utah fan in the building. Todd made a great - all be it drunk - Ute! | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | ? | True to form, the "Justins" are feeling sick. | ? | ?

Birthdays are Fun! | Sarah's birthday in 2006 was a year to remember. Russ and Roger went to Costco to get flowers and a cake. Unfortunately, Sarah was long gone by the time they returned. Blake pouted and Darrin wailed, but in the end we ate the cake without Sarah. In honor of her birthday we saved Sarah one tiny piece.
You've got to keep the boss happy. Happy Birthday Russ, I mean El Jefe. | We love cake and any old reason to celebrate!!!! | Eliz's birthday 2010 | Kevin looks murderous with the cake knife. No more parties for him!

Footnote had the unique opportunity to participate in TechCrunch50. Preparing for the TechCrunch was a challenge. The projects code name was Snow Day. The team worked day and night to get the site ready for TechCrunch. One night the Snow Day fairy visited the team with a bag of treats and a gift certificate for Iceberg milk shakes. After hours, days, and weeks of effort TechCrunch arrived. Russ and Brian represented the company at the conference. The rest of the team watched the presentation life at the office. We made the conference an event — popcorn and all. | Burnt popcorn is the worst smell ever!
Footnote Biker Gang | For a time it seemed like every Footnote employee had a motorcycle lining the street. This cool phenomenon required pictures! Not everyone was a true biker. There was a poser or two in the group. | Poser!
 Pranks & Shenanigans
Office Pranks | The office pranks of Footnote are legendary! Desks were moved, computers were sabotaged, and chairs were rearranged. Leaving for vacation was an open invitation for shenanigans. Krista's cubical became home to dozens of balloons and Jackman's office was thoroughly covered with toilet paper. Gordon was often the ringleader in the never ending prank war. After the pranks the team decided to take out their aggression with Nerf guns and sneak attacks. Good times were had by all!
 Roger Turns 50
In honor of Roger's 50th birthday, Russ asked everyone in the office to dress in black. We jumped on the chance to give Roger a hard time. I decorated Roger's office with black streamers, black balloons, and caution tape. We had a great time at Wallaby's for Roger's birthday lunch. We topped the day off with a black frosting cake. As much as I like chocolate cake, I'm not such a big fan of black frosting.
Rivalry Game | As the lone Ute, Justin endured an amazing amount of razing during each rivalry game. In an effort to make his skin crawl his office was wallpapered in Cougar blue and BYU pride. Don't feel too sorry for Justin, The Schroepfer family returned the favor and redecorated the office with a BYU gab or two.
All good things must come to an end. | The Schroepfer's revenge. | The friendly night security gives a big thumbs up.
Christmas 2006 | We held the 2006 party at the Provo Marriott Hotel.
Some white elephant gifts were more appropriate than others. Justin proved a giant and disturbingly stained whitey-tiighties. Poor Brent ended up with the unfortunate underwear. | Nocho Libre Jared and Mullet Brent are the last thing you would expect at a Christmas party. | Nathan and Mary Moon sporting their new Footnote gear.
Christmas Party 2007 | We had a blast at Somewhere Inn Time! We enjoyed great food, a door prize bonanza, and a marathon white elephant gift exchange
Door Prize Bonanza | Jared Dearth scored a Santa tshirt in the white elephant gift exchange.
Christmas 2008 | We had a lot of fun at the 2008 Christmas Party at Somewhere Inn Time in Lindon.
